What makes a great website?
A great website is functional. It should load quickly, be easy to navigate, and respond to different screen sizes. Secondly, it should look beautiful and communicate the company's brand, message, and emotion through it's visuals.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
My first questions are usually:
1) Who is your target audience?
2) What is your goal with this design?
3) When will you need it completed by?
Describe your creative process.
I start by asking questions about the project and collecting data. After that, I'll research and brainstorm different concepts either on paper or on the computer. Once I develop a solid first draft, I'll share it with the client for feedback. From there, I make any changes based on the client's responses until we get to a final draft that the client is happy with.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
I need to know what they're looking for in the project such as the deliverable files. We also need to agree on a contract and work out the budget for the project.
What do you love most about your job?
Coming up with creative solutions to help communicate a person's ideas.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love to design and I enjoy the flexibility and ownership of my own business.
