Popped in to the cafe for lunch on our way to the Red Kite Feeding Centre, which is 15 mins up the road. We enjoyed lovely home cooked meals with lots of local produce. The Cawl and Cottage Pie specials were both great, I think specials will probably vary day to day but based on what we had I'm sure it will all be great. Very friendly and helpful staff. More...

We chose our wedding at the beautiful Myddfai Hall mainly because I wanted to support local. From the day we booked Lesley, Carol and all the staff involved have been outstanding. We have been listened to throughout and on the day everything was absolutely perfect. The team are very professional and spot on with attention to detail. I think we’ll have to celebrate our anniversary with you every year so we can eat your amazing food that kept us going during setting up and enjoy the lovely surroundings. Thank you for everything, Bex & Dan X More...

We had our wedding here last week and I don’t know where to begin thanking the staff at the hall for their help in making our day so perfect. It’s such a beautiful venue in a stunning location, and there is so much flexibility to make your day how you want it. Lesley, Carol, Eirlys and the rest of the staff went the extra mile to make everything run smoothly. They even ordered the weather for us! Would thoroughly recommend this as a venue for anyone who doesn’t want a ‘factory wedding’ and wants a day that is truly their own. Thank you so much to all of you for everything! Myddfai Centre has a little shop and cafe where you can stop and relax on your way to famous Llyn y Fan fawr in the brecon beacons. The staff is really nice, could not say something else in my situation.... I was a solo traveller driving a rental car in the national park and the husband of a lady working there helped me to take out my car of a ditch on a road not far from the center!! It was really nice of them!! More...

To say that Lesley, Carol and all of the staff and volunteers at Myddfai are fantastic would be an understatement. From the first time we went to visit to this weekend (our wedding) they have been nothing but supportive and helpful. Our wedding was a roaring success because of their hard work. The hall is beautiful and our guest had nothing but good things to say. Carol did an amazing job of our buffet and was so helpful in the lead up, we gave her free reign with our food and we are so glad we did- she had amazing ideas and everything was so tasty! We cannot wait to come back and visit you all again soon ❤️ More...

Just a short note to say a massive "thank you" to all the staff at Myddfai Community Hall for their outstanding support and co-operation as we prepared the food for Glendon and Zara's wedding at the weekend! I have worked in many different locations in the UK, but can honestly say that I don't think we've worked amongst nicer people in my life. All the staff we met there were great but Sophie and Margaret were super special! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we hope to come back and support your venture there in the future, God Willing. Highly, highly recommended. More...

Thank you for a beautiful and versatile venue for our perfect wedding day.
As a venue, you took extremely good care of us and our guests from start to finish. I believe you offer the best value for money, by far, for such a fantastic location.
For those of you considering Myddfai as a possible venue, please go down and meet Lesley. It's often hard to find good people that you can trust with something as important as your wedding, Lesley will not let you down.

Cost: this was a major factor to us as we had decided we didn't want to start our lives together in debt from an expensive wedding. Myddfai is the best value, good venue you will find. There are none of the following extortionate fees which we found to be standard with other venues; Choice of any outside caterer/bar, no corkage fees, outside entertainment, and the option to run the bar yourselves at no additional costs. Chair covers and tablecloths provided at very reasonable costs and we were allowed to decorate the room how we liked with full support of the staff.
Myddfai is a beautiful countryside venue. It is surrounded by fields and we were lucky enough to have newly born lambs in the background of our wedding pictures, in the fields next to the venue, which was an added bonus.
The venue, although outside of a major city, turned out to be extremely accessible by train and bus. We had our guests stay at the village of Llandovery, which we were able to negotiate deals with the hotels for our guests to stay at a cheaper rate. From llandovery, on the day of the wedding, we used Thomas Bros coaches of Llangadog to transport 32 day guests to the venue and 52 evening guests back to llandovery - don't be put off by the countryside roads. The full sized coach fit through with ease.

We had our wedding on a Saturday, but as there were no prior bookings at the venue we were kindly allowed access from lunch time on the Thursday to set up to give us more time to get the venue looking perfect.

The amount we spent on the venue was minimal. It comes ready with a great modern sound sytem and lighting rig.

I would recommend one minor improvement to the venue, which we found out on our very lucky sunny day. A thin white curtain which could be drawn across the windows to help reduce the amount of light coming through the venue just to take a bit of glare off the photos.

Thank you so much for everything and please feel free to pass on our email to anyone who has any questions about booking the venue, it is the least we can do after all you did for us over the last 6 months.
