What I love most about copywriting is getting to immerse myself in the world of my clients. I love how it helps with getting to know your voice and brand, so that I can offer a seamless experience for your customers.

I've been a copywriter through my job role for a number of years, gaining experience of writing for a number of brands and in a number of voices. Working in Marketing and Communities Management gave me additional skills, but also introduced me to the frustrations of working with external contractors and copywriters who don't quite 'get it'.

After doing some heavy editing on a piece of work that one of my colleagues had commissioned, to make it fit our brand voice, I went home and started my own copywriting business. I wanted to both use the skills and experience I have within this world to benefit clients and raise the profile of the copywriting profession (There are lots of wannabe copywriters, looking to make their millions and live a 'digital nomad 'lifestyle, with none of the required skills or knowledge!) but also to deepen my understanding of the pressures and constraints on freelance writers and copywriting agencies, so that I could better serve those that I work with as a commissioning Marketing Officer.

I get it!

As someone who works on both sides of the fence, writing articles, blog posts and copy for websites and social media and also commissioning and editing work for an employer who works with me more regularly. You can trust me to do the job within your parameters and I can decode a brand book like no-one's business. :)
