We got a German Shepherd from my bodyguard dog in June and went back in September and got another one they are very smart healthy well rounded dogs we are very happy with our girls they get along with other animals including the Farm animals Julie and her staff are very helpful Any question you may have they go above and beyond And when it’s time for them to be groomed that is the only place I’ll take my girls they do a great job

We board our dog for several weeks at a time at MBGD, which includes brush-up on additional training. Daily we receive pictures of our beloved dog in various activities while we are gone. This really gives me piece of mind when leaving him for such a long time. He ALWAYS comes back to us in excellent shape and health. I've used other boarding services and none compare to how well our dog is treated, trained and even groomed (shampooed brushed out and clipped nails) before we pick him up. He acts like he doesn't want to leave MBGD. The owner and staff are amazing, their love and attention to detail, especially the health and well-being of all the dogs we interact with when we visit for training or vacation drop-off is amazing! We got a beautiful and smart puppy from My BodyGuard Dogs out in Marengo. The owners are very knowledgeable and personable. They truly love their dogs and spent a lot of time working with us ensuring that the puppy we chose was the best fit for us. In addition, Julie is easy to get a hold of as she has kept in touch with us throughout our journey so far and always has helpful, friendly tips. We couldn’t be happier with the puppy we chose! With already being so smart and having a great temperament, we wanted to ensure she became the best dog she could be by taking an obedience training class offered by them, and it has been extremely helpful. I visited this facility last year with My Aunt & Uncle, whom purchased a pup from MyBodyGuard a couple years prior to. I was blown away with how clean and structured the environment was. This place is awesome. We purchased our dog, Stella, in July of 2017. We were so impressed with the professionalism that we signed up immediately for the training classes. I called several breeders in Illinois to find a German Shepherd Dog that was bred for good temperament. I also wanted to make sure there was a focus on responsible breeding. With two children it was important for us to have a balanced dog, and one that would not have hip issues. Having never had a GSD, I did a lot of research about the breed, and also about what to ask and look for in a breeder. Julie Saso answered all my questions knowledgeably. Her experience, passion and dedication to the breed (and her dogs) was evident. I did not get the same feel or answers from the other three breeders I contacted. We brought Sky into our home July 2017, and it's been the best decision we've made of 2017. The trainers, Amanda and Stephanie, have done an amazing job of turning my little land shark into a model representative for the German Shepherd Dog. Sky is now in Advanced Obedience II, and is one phenomenal dog. We live in Chicago, and travel weekly for the continued training. It is so worth it. I get so many compliments when I am walking Sky related to her high level of training, and to her beautiful sable appearance. When you purchase a dog from My Bodyguard Dogs, you are not just getting a dog, but are joining a unique extended family. We brought our 10 month old German Shepard for a training evaluation and connected immediately with Stephanie. We have learned so much as handlers and increasing our GS confidence through the various training programs. Our GS loves agility and rally with Amanda. I highly recommend My Body Guard Dogs for the purchase of a GSD puppy. Our 10 month old GSD Major has given me new purpose during my retirement years after losing my beloved 14 year old GSD Max in January. Julie was very understanding of my situation when I visited their kennel soon after losing Max. I was very impressed with the process of selecting Major which included being invited to attend the litter's temperament testing to help my wife and I select Major. Having trained 2 golden retrievers and my first GSD Max, the training classes at MBGD were far and away the best I have experienced. We have been going to class since Major was 10 weeks old even though we have to travel 3 hours round trip to the kennel and will continue training for the foreseeable future. Stephanie and Amanda have been outstanding trainers and the support staff (nail clipping, ear cleaning etc.) have been equally good. My Body Guard GSD is the finest dog breeder/training center in IL. A random search 4-1/2 years ago by a skeptical buyer (me) turned into the most rewarding part of my life. I visited MBGGSD's after the death to cancer of my beloved Kobra. Marty gave us the complete tour of the facility (including the back kennels). My journey lead me to the birth of my new female and I/we have not missed a Saturday at MBGGSD since then (except when I had back surgery.)The dogs are of top quality and Julie has the knowledge only matched by a seasoned veterinarian. My dog and I have taken every training class, agility and now sheep herding. She is highly excited and motivated and there is NO sleeping in on a Saturday. Amanda is a serious and innovative trainer - improving the training each time so it does not become routine and boring. I love the quality, well adjusted, German Shepherd puppy we received from My BodyGuard Dogs. Julie and her staff are wonderful and give all dogs in their care the attention and training specifically tailored to the needs of each dog and their family. They gave Suzie a great start for a 12 week old pup! She was very smart and already understood quite a bit for her age! Suzie adores the staff and trainers who took great care of her during her month stay for puppy/basic training while I was out of town. My BodyGuard Dogs also offers ongoing training classes that give your puppy and or dog good, sound, progressive training which is built on solid basic training. I love the drop in agility classes which allow for Suzie’s continued training as well as providing her a safe and fun environment to stimulate her mind and focus her energy in a productive way. Hard to put into words how much both My Bodyguard puppies have positively affective my family. Two pups from two different litters have been a joy that can't be replicated. Healthy, happy, intelligent, protective, obedient, loyal and just incredibly gentle with the family. The staff is amazing, the property is awesome, and the training is second to none. If you want a GSD you want a My Bodyguard pup. What other GSD breeder has sheep on site to use for herding practice/exercise? I just can't say enough.
