Many would describe music expos as just a bunch of stalls with people, businesses and artists trying to chat to each other about the ‘next level’ of their own music career or standing. This is where the Music Expo is not anything like this negative stereotype... The music expo is a carefully constructive facilitation manifested through hard-working, loyal, determined and passionate individuals who have built from the ground up their own unique, innovative and creative ideas to a professional level and standard. The list goes on in terms of the different kinds of people you would find that these events which are limited not to that of artists, managers, photographers, PR reps, Business liaison’s, chefs, Landlords and Landladies,venue owners,brand reps,publishers,radio presenters,jounalists,students,universities and college establishment reps,festival organisers and contractors,charities and competition,organisations,videographers,A&R reps, music shops, recording engineers, studio managers, graphics designers, merchandise manufacturers, promoters and you honestly will meet somebody new.... So you ask me why I rate this as 5 stars, its because from a small idea this started out as, it has given loads of people a 5 star facilitation to help anybody of the above or with a driven potential to push themselves into a state that they’d never forseen them being in with the new connections they established at this collective. Great work and service from Mike on behalf of the Expo for a recent show my band played at the Red Lion in Paulton. He was very informative, easy to get hold of, on hand at the show to make sure all went smoothly between us and the venue and negotiated the payment.
All you want and need was available from Expo. We look forward to working Mike again!

Full credit to Mike Mihalas and his team for putting on a phenomenal Music Expo. My band District 13 traveled down from London and it was worth it. The stalls are smartly set up to cover all aspects of the music business, including festival organizer, radio stations, media companies and many more. There were also presentations during the day and question and answer sessions from highly regarded industry individuals. From a performance view point, the sound engineers were great there was a good sound in the venue, slick change overs and performances ran on time as scheduled. Live performances throughout the day. It is a bargain, would definitely attend again and we need more events run as well as this one. We would highly recommend this music expo to all musicians and anyone interested in the music business. What can I say? This was an amazing experience for us. Ryan Webb was invited to perform at Music Expo in Shepton Mallet. Rather than turn up just before his set later on in the evening, we thought we'd arrive (after picking up Carlos, Ryan's bassist) just after it started at 10am. The place was already buzzing when we arrived. We're not the best at putting ourselves 'forward', but this event somehow changed that for us and we met some brilliant people and we now have quite a collection of contacts - something we've never been able to manage in the past at other networking events - maybe one or two! Mike Mihalas is the man behind the expo and I cannot imagine the amount of work that was put into this event. He had a great team behind him, including Georgie Robbins, Paige Louise Thurgood, Stuart Williamson and a host of others, some great exhibitors, guest speakers (including #WyattWendels, #TobyJepson, #RobTown and #GaryPaterson and fantastic live music throughout the day. We networked like we've never networked before and it felt really good! For any one working in the music business, especially musicians, this really is something you should not miss out on. It could change things quite dramatically for you! Well done Mike and your amazing team. Thank you so much for putting on this event and having Ryan Webb down to perform.
