Great shows for all ages, stimulating Café Scientifique talks, good bar food, interesting art gallery displays, terrific ambience, altogether a place to hang out. A huge asset to Didcot.

Enjoyed Mark Lewisohn's 'The Beatles: Hornsey Road' last night, was lucky to get a couple of the last tickets at this sold out performance. Only downside was that, perhaps partly because it was so full, I was too warm despite being in a short sleeved shirt More...

I was at the Cornerstone Arts Centre on 26/10/18 as part of the Rocket Man production. I am the percussionist on the show. We visit a large number of venues up and down the country. This centre and staff were exceptional. Duty Manager Emma was a pleasure to work with, tech Dom was very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly ushers too. We had a great time in this compact and great sounding theatre. Oh.. great toasties from the cafe with amazing coffee! Hope to see everyone again soon . More...

A phenomenal selection of eclectic music on vinyl & CDs. We spent a good few hours over a couple of days with the delightful Richard and selected our "wonderful Wallingford collection" of 45s for the jukebox! See you next time we're in UK for another cup of coffee and, perhaps another collection!!!! L X More...

Popped in for the first time on Saturday and found myself feeling like a kid in a sweet shop. Cracking wee shop with a great selection of vinyl. The owner's service was superb and I loved the conversation we had about Simple Minds. It's a gem of a store and I will be back time and again. More...

Popped in for the first time yesterday and I wish I'd had an hour or two to browse rather than 10 minutes! The owner was very friendly and full of help and advice and very generously let me walk out of there much more satisfied than I might otherwise have been! So if you have ANY interest in the vinyl revival, check it out but take a bulging wallet and make sure you have plenty of time to spare! More...

If you love music but feel like you've 'lost touch' with it since the rise of the cloud services (iTunes, Spotify etc.) then you would do well to reconnect by getting back into physical media. Music Box is my local record store and I absolutely love popping in for a chat with the folks there and frequently walk out with something special I've never heard of and would never have found through Tidal! They're very family friendly too. Only problem is records are very difficult to hide in amongst other normal shopping bags More...

For those aspiring writers who missed the poetry workshop today, you missed a fun day. Most attendees were new to poetry, but by the end of the day all were writing fluently. It was truly a worthwhile workshop. Thank you Mark. More...

We took our 9 month old for his first theatre trip - to see The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. He loved all the music, singing and lights and was enthralled for the entire second half. I'm a regular in the cafe but will definitely be back to watch more plays! Big thanks to Chloe for reassuring me a babe in arms would be welcome and advising where to book our seats - we were J 1&2 so could easily bounce him in the aisle without blocking anyone's view, sit in the empty disabled area to breastfeed him, or sneak outside if he got loud. We'll be booking our earlybird tickets for next year! More...

Visited Cornerstone for the beer and cider festival this weekend. Despite the rain it was a great evening, with plenty of beers and ciders to choose from at a very reasonable price. The Cornerstone is a great local venue. We have been to several shows since it opened, mostly family/children events. Most recently was the Three Half Pints presenting The Three Musketeers. My son (9) and I were grinning, giggling or guffawing right through! No spoilers, but I'm still having flashbacks to the black lycra! I've no idea why this wasn't a sell out show (2pm); perhaps as it was Father's Day? It was fantastic; great comic acting and excellent use of the stage & set design. It was fabulous that they took the time to meet the kids after the show too. We shall definitely be back to see them again. More...

Cornerstone is a great venue and a real asset to Didcot. The reason for only 4 stars is the lack of food on the evening of an event (we arrived early and had to make do with nachos from the cinema opposite) despite posters saying "Food and Drink until 9pm" and the sad demise of the Comedy Curry. I thought bringing the catering in house was supposed to enhance the offering. More...

Excellent venue AND a great concert, just a pity is was not as well supported as it deserved. You apathetic people out there - get your finger out and go and enjoy some really great and varied concerts. I took someone who had lived in the area years but had never been to Cornerstones Theatre. Result - I was thanked for a wonderful evening. More...
