We got married at Muddifords yesterday. In the run up to the wedding we worked with the team to ensure everything was well organised. It ran superbly smoothly. A beautiful venue made even more special by the genuine dedication of the team that run Muddifords. Any venue is only as good as the staff. We had a five star venue with the best staff anyone could ask for. I highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere with just that bit more attention to detail, staff with just that bit more passion about their workplace and the result, for the bed and breakfast and the event side is that your experience is unique. Our friends had their wedding held hear in the summer of 2016. Whilst we did not stay in the overnight accommodation, I would rate this place VERY highly! Beautiful location, surroundings, everything is well kept and in keeping with it's heritage. The bar could have a few more drinks on draught but I understand it's not a regular pub. If you are looking for a wedding venue then I would highly recommend this as a great venue. More...

Superb! We were there for a work conference and it was lovely. Great location, ideal to sit outside in the sunshine in-between with a tea or coffee and the lunch was one of the best i've ever had at a conference!

We got married here in December 2016 and Nicky and the team did everything they could to make our day perfect. We fell in love with Muddifords the minute we were greeted by the dogs in the car park and everything about it was incredible. We had everything we could wish for, and nothing was too much trouble! We came to Muddifords Court for a friend's wedding this weekend. Being the nosey person that I am, I had a squizz at your website before we came. The line, 'You can rest assured that your guests will be well looked after throughout your wedding' had me raising an eyebrow as I've heard it many times before from hotels but have been somewhat disappointed. I can say that being well looked after is truly the case at Muddifords. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the food was wonderful, as was the service given. Staff were friendly and worked incredibly hard to make it a wedding to remember. Please pass my thanks to all of the staff that worked on the Swann wedding. Having worked in the service industry myself I know that people are very quick to complain but don't often give positive comments. I'm already persuading the husband to leave the children with the grandparents and bring me back for a weekend break! More...

We was very lucky to get married here recently, such a amazing venue. Nicky,pip and all the staff were fantastic they couldn't do enough for us even though we turned their beautiful place into a 2 day festival, had portaloo's delivered, Caravans delivered, camper vans and tents turning up. Nothing was too much trouble they welcomed any ideas we came up with. We decided to stay for a couple of days after the wedding and I am so glad we did, it was great to have a few extra days to relax after everything. We have been going to stay at Muddifords Court since just after they took it on, I must say Muddifords Court, Nicky , Pip and all the staff have a special place in our hearts and we cannot wait to go back. We have just returned from spending 3 wonderful days at Muddifords. We wanted to spend some quality time with our kids (aged 18 and 21) and elderly parents - who love the Exmoor countryside. We had wanted to stay here since watching 'Four in a Bed' and were delighted to discover that a Self catering cottage, the Roundhouse, was now an option as it fitted our requirements perfectly. From all of the reviews we read prior to the visit, we had very high expectations.....and they were exceeded! Everything was totally perfect! The living areas were large and airy and so comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches - including a vase of fresh flowers. A private courtyard with seating that the glorious weather enabled us to make a great deal of use of. My parents had a downstairs bedroom with en suite walk in shower. We had such a cosy (don't mistake that for small!) bedroom upstairs I was in bed by 8.30 2 nights running - although everyone insisted in coming in to use the sumptuous bathroom. The kids slept in a Shepherds hut - a stones throw away (in a magical woodland setting). This took glamping to a new level - as a 5 star hotel kind of girl I surprised everyone, including myself by wanting to stay in there too. Maybe on our next visit - but then I want to stay in one of the beautiful bedrooms that we were given a guided tour of - but which one to choose? and I need to go back to the Roundhouse.....then there is always Cassie the vintage caravan....... I could go on.........and on. A lucky couple are getting married there tomorrow, what a wonderful place to start their new lives together. I cannot think of anywhere better. More...
