I've used this service since 2006. It gives me such piece of mind to know my doggies are in their own environment vs a kennel when I have to be gone. They also do a suburb job at ensuring my house is ok; taking in my mail, opening and closing the blinds, changing the light patterns etc so no one but me knows I'm gone. Have you ever been in the middle of planning an out of town trip when you suddenly remember your little fur-babies who need care while you're away?  Do you then groan, roll your eyes, and lament over the cost of boarding them, all the while knowing they will be confused and probably uncomfortable during your absence?This is what my husband and I used to go through every time we had to travel.  We have 4 animals at home.  An outside dog and 3 indoor cats.  (Used to be 2 dogs, we miss you, Rusty!)  During our trip planning several years ago I announced to my husband we couldn't afford to go on our trip.  The best boarding rate I could find was going to cost us over $1k, yes, that's one thousand dollars! (Que the Dr. Evil pinky-grin.)  We just wanted to go see family for about an 8 day trip, but it was going to cost more to board our animals than it would for the two of us to get there and back!Don and Lori to the RESCUE!  I found Walkin'-n-Waggin' and made a call.  Don and Lori came out to my home, introduced themselves, and explained their services.  When they showed me their rates, I was sure I was missing something.  Seriously? Less than $300? Yup! And I have never again worried about being gone from home.  Here's what you get:  PEACE OF MIND! They come once or twice a day, your choice.  They feed and play with all the animals, scoop litter, water plants, rotate lights, check the mail, and bring in anything that may be left on the porch like a package or the newspaper.  They even make sure my garbage gets to the curb, and they bring the can back up and put it away.  They're trained in First Aid for pets, and will take your pet to the vet if something happens.  All this, and your fur-babies stay in their own home, sleep in their own beds, and get some peace and quiet.In the 7+ years we have used this service, we have never once worried about what was going on at home.  We receive regular voicemails or text messages while we're away, and upon return my husband and I usually fuss over who gets to read the daily notes that are always left for us.  The comfort of knowing our pets and our home is being looked after while we're away is priceless to us.  We have never returned home to any mess or unexpected situation.  Walkin'-n-Waggin' is a professional service that goes above and beyond.  5 stars is not enough to express the high quality of service and satisfaction that comes from doing business with these folks.  We wouldn't dream of leaving our home for any length of time without calling them.  We're lucky to have people like Don and Lori operating their business in our area. This review is overdue as I have been using the pet sitting services of Don and Lori for some four years now which is testament to the ongoing quality of the service that they offer. Very simply, I love my two adopted cats and they mean the world to me. Walkin-and-Waggin provides me the peace of mind of keeping them at home when I need to travel. Whether it's for a few days or a few weeks, nothing is too much trouble for Don and Lori.In addition to ensuring my cats are well nourished and attended to, Walkin-and-Waggin checks on the perimeter of my home, keeps a daily diary and changes blinds and light patterns for extra security.I cannot recommend them highly enough.
