I have to start with this: I hate having my picture taken. I am a blinker and a fake smiler... And working in the aesthetic industry, I have an eye trained to detect flaws. It's rare that I am "happy" with a picture of myself. So clearly, I was dreading having my headshot taken--not only dreading the process, but the outcome of potentially hating a bunch of pictures that I just paid someone to take. LUCKILY, with MP Studios, that was NOT the case! Michael put me at ease right away. He listened to my goals of our session, clearly explained his, and we decided on how to achieve these goals together. The session was quick, but not rushed or too short. All my questions were answered and the process, despite my initial nervousness, was painless. If at anytime during the shoot I was demonstrating the look of being uneasy or turning on my fake smile again, Michael was great at quickly turning me around. He even overcame my blinking sequence to get some shots of me with open eyes! My photos came out very natural (no fake smile!) and the retouching he performed enhanced them while keeping me looking like a real, unfiltered human. No one will ever look at the headshots I got from MP Studios and think, "Wow, that's a really great glamour shot (doesn't even look like her, you can tell it's retouched...)" . In fact, the responses so far have been, "Who did you go to? These look great! You're so photogenic!" So, for a professional, painless, and positive experience that produces headshots you can use for all aspects of your professional career (and personal digital/social media, for that matter), I highly recommend MP Studios of Tampa.
