Stayed in Burnsville for Christmas Holidays.Wandered in to have lunch and it was exceptional, food was great Chef was awesome and friendly, bartender/waitress was friendly and helpful. Thank you both so much!

Amazing food right in the heart of Burnsville! We tried this cozy restaurant on a cold, drizzly winter day and the food, service and ambience warmed us right up. The specials were great including the pecan smoked trout appetizer and the artichoke beignets. The perfectly fried chicken was perfect on a buttery croissant with a siracha honey drizzle. The burger was the best we've ever tasted and absolutely does not need ketsup thanks to the bacon, onions and tangy mustard seed relish. The artisan salad was full of fresh blackberries and goat cheese. I definitely recommend you stop by this hidden mountain gem for a delicious and special meal. More...

We love this place and never leave Burnsville until we eat here at least once! Â Â Chef Bill's Stuffed NC Sole with crab meat was spot on and very well prepared. Â Always hard for me to not order the chicken piccata but the specials board last night could not be missed. Â Â Prime rib was prepared perfectly and my daughter loved her pizza. Interesting menu with lots of daily specials. Service can be a bit slow but very friendly. My sister and I split the chicken pasta dish on menu, very 'clean' no fats. Husband had pork tenderloin special, excellent and brother-in-law had the steak and he said it was cooked perfectly. Â Pizza a good reasonable priced option. The micro green salad special very good. Little pricy for Burnsville but being a foodie nice to have an opinion when don't want to cook. More...

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten. From my server Paige, who was absolutely outstanding, to the owners, who make you feel welcome the minute you walk in, to the incredible food, it's a first class experience. They have an excellent beer and wine selection. I had the fillet mignon. I've never had one better, anywhere. The salad was beyond compare. The desserts are homemade, and I had a slice of chocolate cake that was out of this world. When in Burnsville, over the years, to get a meal like this, I had to drive to Asheville. Well, I never found anything this good in Asheville, so they need to be coming to Burnsville to experience an extraordinary dining experience. More...

Great staff great food good selection of beers the only downfall is not carrying the local brewery's beer. They're a little expensive for a small town restaurant but the food is worth the splurge every once in a while!

We had a wonderful dining experience here. I came here with 7 of my friends on a recent trip to Burnsville. Our meals were excellent with top notch ingredients. The service was great, and our waiter, Taylor, was so much fun. At the end of our meal Chef Bill brought us back to the kitchen to watch him clean a giant grouper for tomorrow's menu. Amazing! Just had another fantastic meal at MCB. Started with a tasty, traditional onion soup. Next was one of MCB's salads. The salads here are absolutely fresh and local. Had the Newfoundland halibut and paired that with a bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay. Fantastic dinner. Several years ago, Knife & Fork was the best around but went downhill over the last few years. Wow!! Â Excellent dinner at the Mountain Chef Bistro. Â My husband had the steak special and I had the schnitzel. Â Both were amazing! Â We also split the Farm to table salad and it was fantastic. This is my family's new favorite restaurant in Burnsville. We eat here one to two times a week and find the food absolutely delicious. In all honesty there hasn't been much we haven't loved, except the pizza is not our favorite, but others love it! Difference in taste. From the appetizers to desserts you will find something fantastic that will make you happy you chose to eat there. Plus the atmosphere is fun and the staff attentive and friendly. More...
