I visited MotorGlide last Friday 12th May and was greeted just inside gate 8 by my introductory flight instructor Clive, we had a brief on what to expect and a route was planned. Have had the most amazing introductory flight using my Virgin experience voucher. We were a group of 2 and motorglide organised the day so that we could takeoff after each other, even seeing each other in the cockpit as we flew alongside each other. Lee and Nigel were great and both very knowledgable, flight was spectacular and has really peaked my interest in pushing a potential license later down the line. Booked a 30 min ✈️ experience for my husband's birthday as a surprise. Didn't end up flying on the day due to nerves, but had a great brief on the types of craft used by motorglide, how they are used and some very entertaining anecdotes. Ashleigh was great and didn't pressure hubby to fly, he ended up going round the air field and taxiing which he really enjoyed. I flew on 14th April as a gift from someone and had Stacy facilitate it while I got to take control in the air. I was a bit apprehensive but also excited at the start. Stacy quickly assured me and ran me through the aircraft and it's reliability, quickly putting me at ease. Take off and landing was so smooth and being informed about all the information on the dashboard and what it means along with how to control the flight was an unbelievable experience I want to do again. Approaching landing and shortly after Stacy told me all about getting a license and how I also had two months membership from that flight gift so will get near future flights at a discounted rate. He also informed me what those lessons would be like and what's required to get your pilot's license. I had been looking forward to the glider experience my son gave me as a gift for my 70th birthday, for some time. On arrival at the airfield everything ran exactly as it was described, efficient, relaxed and above all friendly. The tow launch of the glider was tremendous and the view from the cockpit stunning. My pilot had explained how the controls worked and gave me a fascinating explanation of how the weather conditions are exploited to get the most out of the available lift and the reasoning behind this. I got a chance to perform manoeuvres and get a feel of how the glider was controlled and the instruction I received meant I felt confident and safe in that environment. The whole flight experience was superb and I would recommend people to try it, I'm tempted to follow up with structured lessons to enable me to take up a new and exhilarating hobby. Great value location to convert to NPPL. Mostly low traffic environment so hardly any time wasted waiting for take offs, and tight circuits so lots of more training / flying per hour than might be possible at busier airfields

Real, airmanship building, stick n' rudder adventure!
I had so much fun adding TMG to my EASA licence this year. Your friendly and safe, training environment reminded me exactly how I became hooked on light aircraft flying many years ago in an Air Cadet Motor glider.
