Diala is the real deal. She recently finished a complete bathroom reno for me and I could not be more pleased with the result. Working with her was a pleasure, not only is she very professional and talented as a designer, she is very personable and very customer-focused.

Her attention to detail was exceptional. I felt as if my small project was as important to her as the many larger jobs by how conscientious and thorough she was.

Her main focus is on the client and she ensured I was involved in the desing making process - it was very collaborative. She answered all my questions, asked me many questions on what it was I was looking for and how I wanted the space to function.

She explained the pros and cons of some ideas I had and continually came up with really interesting ideas/suggestions/options. At the end of it all, she came in on budget.

I work as the office manager at Motivo Dental, which I can say is the most beautiful project Diala has completed. The atmosphere of this dental clinic makes it a very calming and relaxing place to work, and I can honestly say it makes coming to work more enjoyable. I love walking through the door every day to see and listen to the beautiful waterfall located beside my front desk. Every patient that walks through the front door compliments the design of this office, and claims that it makes them feel more comfortable to come to the dentist. Diala has a wonderful eye for colour. We were trying to enhance the curb appeal of our home with our front door. Diala chose a colour that we had not considered. When it was completed, we realized that the door itself did not need to be changed. Daila also took it one step further and suggested colours for the ceiling and floor of the front porch. We decided to do a kitchen and half bath renovation and we were referred to Diala of Motivo Interior and exterior Design.We were not disappointed . We appreciated Diala’s professional approach. Her vision for our space was both timeless and contemporary. Diala applied her creative design and ideas to a unique space. She has an excellent relationship with people in the local contracting industry and made sure things were done in a timely and efficient manner, as well as made sure things were of quality. She promised us we would be back in our home in 2 month, and we back in, in exactly 2 months.Diala treated us like family and thus we felt as if we were the most important clients she had. She was always responsive, provided great advice, and was able to make recommendations that made our home look fabulous. From room design, cabinets, colour consultation, flooring, lighting, wall tiles, she has it all covered and is very up to date with the current products available. She understood our tastes and worked well with us rather than forcing us into styles that didn't fit our personality. She listened well to our needs and ideas first, and then worked her creativity. I hired Motivo Design for my much needed renovation after receiving a rave review from my dentist about the home renovation he had designed and completed by the owner Diala. My home is only about 3 years old but I didn't build it and wanted a new fireplace as the one I had was small and didn't push off any heat! We met at my home she took measurements and suggested a few different designs, we chatted about colour, size and shape of the fireplace and she had ideas I couldn't even dream of this took about 2 hours. She came back the next week with stone samples and drawings with a few options. She discuss my budget and what my options were with the design and price points. My big ask was that I wanted a solid piece of stone for the face of a fire place not stacking stone or tiles this was a big part of the budget. I wanted a clean modern look but still have a warm cozy feeling. For this she choose clean lines for the stone and a linear fireplace with warm stone colouring. She rearranged our furniture, hung new art work and made this small fireplace renovation transform my entire main floor of my home. Once I am ready to build a new home 100% I would hire Motivo again she did the work seamlessly and with in budget. The quality of the work shows and we couldn't be happier with our new space and the fireplace kicks off a ton of heat, everything I wanted and more. More...
