This review is based on the representative who lied to persuade me to purchase and the so-called “manager” who believes she dealt with my issue to the best of her ability with no sincere empathy to my annoyance of being miss sold but instead patronising which caused further frustration, insinuating I must be poor to complain about a “cheap” purchase and request a refund. It’s the principle for me, not the price! The only solution was no solution. My request for a refund was denied because the voucher I bought was through a third party company and she never gave me details so I can’t request a refund from them. The most important aspect of a company should be the customer service and in this case it was not. Jem, We have not taken the money for this voucher, we cannot refund money we have not taken then claim it back as we have not taken it, This why we ask that you go to your bank who can refund you from the third party that has taken the money. We can honour the voucher and the experience which you have not had.

Kay, we take a deposit to ensure your attendance, once the deposit is paid you can cancel in the 1st 7 days and get a full refund, after that you can change the date if you need to with 5 days notice, then when you attend you can either use the deposit to buy more images on top of 2 free images you get with the voucher or have it refunded. All of this information is on the voucher.

We were collared by a 'Disney Channel' guy in Lakeside who sold us a package for £120 + £5 admin fee.
We were looking forward to it but got a phone call asking for a £200 deposit to ensure we turned up, which we paid just before Christmas.
The day came and we turned up with our pet who we were told could come along. The lady who greeted us said they don't usually do pets but will check if anyone has allergies. All was good other than one lady who viewed the pictures. There were 2 bookings in front of us so we waited. We were offered a drink, once (although I was told there was a bar and I could relax there. No bar, just two sofas.
The hair and make up girls were good but it wasn't what we were sold which was pretty much a 'pamper day', 'it'll be all special for the girls' he said, make up, nails, hair facial etc. eerr no.
Anyway, the photographer was nice and we viewed the pictures. This is where it gets sticky. The pictures were not particularly good so we didn't really want any. We were told we'd get 2 free, but this turned out to only be individuals so we chose two but we liked a group one so chose it for £59 which came off of the £200 deposit. The lady was very rude at the fact we didn't want a £1000 package and said 'we don't like giving refunds' - I don't like paying £325 for something that was pretty poor.
Therefore we were due a refund of £141, to this day we are still yet to receive the refund despite calling a number of times and being told it's being processed, we have problems with the accounts software. etc.
I have since found that many other people have had the same problem in getting money back and that we could have got the same package for £14 from Groupon.

Photos were wonderful! My hair was done beautifully however I didn't like my nails and the lady didn't even touch my cuticles like promised in my voucher. Make up- I've learned a few tips but generally I could do better. They also promised that they will retouch two of my photos and will send them to me, never happened. The studio needs TLC also.... My daughter and I booked this experience while visiting the Olympia Beauty show. The day was very enjoyable getting our nails, hair and make up done and free drink! The staff were really nice and friendly. The photographer was a great guy who knows his stuff. He directed our shots superbly and we ended up with some excellent shots. I will be honest we purchased this package at lakeside and when I got home I read the online reviews and became very concerned ! ! Well my daughter and I attended yesterday and I can honestly say she had a lovely day we were looked after and made to feel very welcome, they did a lovely job of her hair and make up. We did purchase a couple of extra photos which were emailed over to us and we had them before we even left the studio. I Can honestly say that I never felt under any pressure to purchase extra shots. I would say if you are expecting a proper facial it is more like a quick cleanse and moisturise but that part of the deal wasn't really wanted by us anyway. More...

Sit back for this review, it's going to be a long read.
We bought a promotion from a very charming guy who seemed fairly desperate to shift what he was selling at Intu Shopping Centre in Watford.
He described it as a spa experience, pamper day, with photos at the end that were purely to account for the work of the makeup artist and to track our 'transformation'. If you've been sold this, he lied to you too.
The mis-selling of our package aside, we turn up for the day (somewhat) prepared for what might be to come because we've read countless other reviews of many other people being sold this package only to find out that there's nothing spa/pamper like about this experience.
We enter Motion Photo studio, there's no one to greet us at reception so we start calling into their basement, to no reply. Eventually we go downstairs and are ushered past the builders (who are literally mixing cement and drilling in the same room) and to a 'waiting space'. I call it this because there are 'spinny' office chairs and some single chairs, next to a table with some mess on. 3ft away is the 'make-over' space and at times it was incredibly crowded.
We got a glass of prosecco (this was the best bit and I am eternally grateful that we had not just 1 but 3 glasses while we were there!!) This really helped blur out the very loud building work happening less than 2 meters away.
ENTER guy wafting a plastic cup full of incense. This was overpowering and honestly one of the strangest smells ever when mixed with the stuffy basement space full of people and builders and cement.
(It wasn't even one of the customers who asked for him to put out the incense it was the make-up artist...)
We are both made-over... I cannot stress more, there is nothing spa-like about this experience. We never received an 'aromatherapy hand massage' nor a 'facial' which was both paid for and promised. My mum hated her make-up and we did both immediately wash it off after leaving. I can be understanding to the excess of makeup though, as it became apparent the make-over was purely for the photographs and had nothing to do with our tastes and preferences.
To end my make-over I had my nails painted. I do want to say that the lady who did my hair, make-up and nails was very lovely to me and I was genuinely embarrassed that this happened. I picked a colour and she painted them, they looked perfect. As someone who has used Shellac for years, I knew instantly that the top coat she had used was a shellac top coat rather than a regular top coat. The difference being a shellac top coat will not dry without the use of a UV light, so as you can imagine 30 minutes later when we're called in to have our pictures taken my nails are still completely wet (not even just tacky) - the polish is coming off with even a light touch.
I tell the photographer who has no idea whats going on, he asks the makeup artist, she denies it but honestly... she painted my nails with a highstreet 60 second dry polish.... it shouldn't still be wet.
We power on through, completely ignoring the mess that is my fingernails. What was once a pretty coral colour is now smeared and picking up hairs and fibre, ALSO STAINING MY CLOTHES.
My fingers are literally gluing themselves together while we're having our pictures taken....
I can't fault the photographer he was lovely, my mum (who was very uncomfortable at this point) loosened up around him and he took some nice pictures.
The room where the photographs happened looked like I'd imagine a low budget porn set with a four poster bed, peeling wallpaper and cables strewn across the floor. (Trip hazard - just saying! You can thank me later)
When our photos were done they told us it would be about 30 minutes until our photographs were ready and gave us the option to go away and come back, so we did this (you should check out my review of the pub on the corner to be assured that I do leave honest feedback and know when a place is genuinely selling lovely stuff!)
We came back at 2.45pm and had actually left them 40 minutes to fix our images. We waited for a further half an hour, despite telling them we had somewhere to be in Shoreditch at 3.45pm. Since we'd arrived at 12pm we'd well overstayed the 3 hours they ask you to allocate for the experience.
This part is just to tickle anyone with a slight knowledge of London. When I said we had to be in Shoreditch for 3.45pm, a guy who works there said that would be fine, we had loads of time and that it only takes 10 MINUTES to get there from Euston... Let that sink in...
We enter the room and the sales-lady is once again flattering my mum with all her might. My mum says outright we have somewhere to be, we don't want to buy photographs and we were mis-sold the package in the first place. We want to take our 2 free images and leave.
This is met with understanding and at this point we are incredibly grateful. We had our two images wetransferred to us and we left, with great assurance that the deposit would be back in my mum's account by the end of July.
We have just checked her account and the deposit is back, it took emails and phone calls - we were incredibly reluctant to let Motion Photo Studio forget to send it to us, but it did come through after one "fault with the deposit transfer".
While I do wish that I hadn't gone to Motion Photo Studio, because we were completely mis-sold the experience that we had and promised things that would never have been delivered. The only shining light from this experience is the photograph that we got of my mum which makes me instantly think of Mariah Carey. Maybe if the strange photo room had had some fire effects to complete the Mariah Carey experience I might have taken the whole thing a bit less seriously.
If you've already bought this, and you wanted a pamper experience I recommend trying to get a refund - Motion Photo Studio acknowledge that they aren't a spa and that they only cater for photography.
If you're yet to buy from Motion Photo Studio, only do so if you want your photographs taken.
In honesty, I do feel like my time was wasted and without a doubt my mum's money was wasted. The woman I spoke to at Motion Photo Studio suggested that they aren't in control of what the advertisers (that they pay for) say to prospective customers, but honestly this feels like a weak excuse at best.
Thanks for the laughs, I hope this review is a wake-up call for Motion to end their contract with their ‘on street’ sellers and to consider the customer experience being offered. (Thanks again for the 3 glasses of prosecco!)

Make-up artist and photographer very professional, make-up was great, manicure is something I could have done myself - no hand massage as mentioned on invitation booklet but photos were gorgeous, however price is VERY expensive. Also we were not given any printed photos only copies on a CD and by email for us to print ourselves which is additional cost to us. Premises is quite compact with 1 toilet off of the small kitchenette. All staff made us feel very welcomed, but on the day we attended the receptionist's appearance was not very professional as she was wearing a short skirt which showed everything underneath as she moved about. I feel disappointed and ripped off- this one star is only for the friendly photographer. Firstly there was the lack of the promised manicure, and hand massage.
I didn't like my makeup or hairstyle, but it was mainly the fact that I was completely ripped off by the price of the pictures, which was suddenly thrown at us at the end. It was a trap.
I Spent 170 pounds for 3 poxy pictures ( as my 4 other pictures was free- a photo for me and my 3 daughters was free). they didn't even bother to print the pictures out, they left it on a crap CD. He was showing us albums at the start etc. And yet we were left with just the CD.
When we asked if we could print, The guy told us to go to boots. This supposedly as postage to us would be £10. I had a £60 deposit, and gave 20 pounds for the voucher, with £90 wasted once more. He was talking about around £900 for thirty pictures- ridiculous. I was thinking, Did he think I was buying the studio?
I wish I never went, the worst experience of my life, the guy literally forced us to buy the pictures we did and made us feel uncomfortable. It ruined my day. Now am left completely drained.
Future people don't bother going, as you will only lose the £20 you have given for the voucher, and not hundreds.

My two daughters had a makeover ahead of a party. They were treated rudely and bullied into taking expensive extras and shouted at when they refused.
