My first stop in Ireland . After a few days and several pubs , i must say that Morton's was the true Irish experience for me. The atmosphere is chill , the place full of friendly locals that love to sing with you any time of the day . Kudos to Anthony -the bar manager -'s professionalism who also provided guidance to a couple of confused tourists More...

This is the friendliest place to visit for Americans. The Irish people are splendidly sweet in this part of town. Plenty of beer on tap, drink specials, outstanding delicious Pizza, live performing artists, in-house lottery, horse race betting, many tv screens, football, pool table, dining areas, booths with tables and chairs, bar stools with high tables, adjacent outdoor smoking area with enclosed tables and chairs, and Karaoke to name a few accommodating features of this quaint and cozy pub.

Just had amazing grub at Mortons , the new Inferno pizza and Thai menus sounded good so we thought we'd give it a go. So glad we did, the food is fab! Chicken wings honey ribs, ginger pad Thai Nd a pizza were all very good and the price is very reasonable. Well worth a try! We will be back! More...

My daily commute on the 49 swings past this respectable looking pub and for years I've been meaning to see if the Guinness was equally respectable. 30 years of built-up expectations is a lot to live up to but I was pleasantly relieved to find that in Morton's, like all the old-time pubs of Dublin, everything is as it should be.Decor is well worn but scrupulously clean - indents in the bar where the auld lads rested their weary elbows while polishing off beers and barstools. My first appearance there was greeted by a friendly smiling barmaid who pulled a most remarkable pint, cheap too with change out of €4.As the evening rolled on the pints rolled in and an older clientele came to talk toot. It's the sort of bar where everyone has their own seat at the bar but there's room for everyone as conversation was chatty and in no way the sullen silence of people drinking for a reason.Last bus home was right outside. Should the great pints have gotten the better of you there's also a taxi company right next door - handy, and no doubt I'll be in need of their service soon. More...
