When I first contacted Steve Wrigley, I was struggling in a number of areas of my life. My biggest challenge was that I had just lost a big client, which for years had been my primary source of income. Additionally, I was also struggling with serious career burnout, family relationship challenges, anxiety, and some depression. I was also facing the stark reality that I would have to end my ten years of running my own company and return to full-time work, working for someone else. And I didn’t have the tools to cope and recover. I was drowning.
I decided to get some professional career coaching since that aspect of my life was at the root of my struggles. At first, I had been a bit skeptical because, from his website, he seemed on the surface to be a jack of all trades (coaching in marriage, retirement, autism, special needs, etc). I was only interested in career coaching. I called him and found him personable, a good listener, knowledgeable, and eager to help, so I decided to proceed.
Long story short, he was amazing. We met weekly over a period of a few months and he was an incredible resource to get my life back on track. His breadth of experience was actually an asset, not a liability. For example, it was a principle in a marriage book that he recommended that unlocked a huge breakthrough in my perplexing career struggles. His expertise in midlife crisis was also a huge help.
The most impressive thing about Steve was that he was always very prepared and had always carefully done his homework. He was obviously actively thinking about me during the week between sessions. He was always prepared with stacks of books to recommend, tests I could take, and great advice. It was very apparent that he reads a lot and had dozens of career books that were heavily marked up with notes. He also helped me with preparing for job interviews and job hunting.
The end result was that I have a clear written vision of my “Why”, that governs everything I do. I have changed my outlook and attitude. I feel like my career burnout is almost entirely gone, I landed a rewarding full-time job, and have improved my marriage and family relationships. Steve saved me. It was certainly one of the best decisions I have made in my life to engage his services. I highly recommend him.

Q&A

I chose to obtain additional education in Professional Life Coaching in order to Make a Difference in the world by leading people to lives of significance. To empower my fellow man to overcome their obstacles and solve their problems, to help them bring out their potential, to support them to see their possibilities, and discover the Big Picture of what their life and families could become. For me coaching isn't just about fixing problems, it's an idea, a type of conversation one has with oneself and with the world, and your coach facilitates that conversation. I would be honored to be part of your conversations.

I recently retired from a Human Service Administrator position in which I would with individuals and families for over the past 31 years providing crisis services. I am not one to retire and am full of life and purpose still needing to be explored. My professional training is a Rehabilitation Counselor and Marriage and Family Counselor. As a Rehabilitation Counselor, I have spent my career helping individuals become the best they can be. I have also worked with individuals and families using my Marriage and Family Counseling background. As I enter my Encore Life, I wanted to start a new career that would build on my year of experience. and enable me to continue supporting my fellow man. to live their best life. I spent two years teaching for AARP with their "Life Reimagined" program and found such fulfillment in working with individuals who were preparing or recently retired. I could help them discover their Encore Life/Career and hopefully strengthen their relationships with their partner. I have always loved my work with individuals with disabilities and their families. Special Needs Life Coaching allows me the continued opportunity to support these individuals and their families to live self-directed lives.

"The Best Is Yet To Be" Retirement poses some of the most challenging questions we have ever faced. Who am I and what kind of person do I want to become? Where do I want my life to go next? What legacy will I leave? Rather than seeing retirement as a period of idleness, more are seeing it as a period of opportunity - not a sung safe harbor but a bold change of course on a bold new voyage. I would like to support you on your voyage. The focus of Morning Light Retirement Coaching is on the Non-Financial aspects of retirement planning and living. While some people seem to be naturally "good" at being retired, for others to attain a fulfilling retirement requires some deliberate soul searching, and hinges in large part on concepts entirely unrelated to money. Retirement Coaching is about helping the client and/or couple define and achieve their Encore Life and/or Career(s), to not Just Retire, but to Refire their lives. My goal is to help individual's/couple's to Reinvent their retirement years through structured individual retirement coaching programs. My "Don't Just Retire, Refire!" and "Purpose Driven Retirement" coaching groups and workshops will guide you through your voyage into your Encore Life. My objective is to help you develop, design and live a Purpose Driven Retirement to enabling you toTHRIVE during your retirement years.
