A1 taxis and particularly Matt Green (who we have never met before) take a bow! Tonight we were walking from St Ives to Higher Penderleath at 10pm when from behind us we heard a car horn. A taxi pulled up, asked where we were going and insisted we got in saying the road was too dangerous to walk.The driver, Matt Green took us back to our campsite, was friendly, chatty and to our surprise refused any payment. A-1 Cars has been consistently great two years in a row for my sister and me. Aaron is communicative and helpful and very accommodating, even getting us a car and driver on very short notice for an all day tour. Matthew is a great driver, fun, informative, and full of stories about Cornwall and highly recommended for any tour you care to take, standard or make-up-your-own. I rang another local company and was told 5 minutes, rang again to be told they were on their way, 45 minutes later they had still not turned up, a waitress recommended I ring A1 Cars, they were there with in 5 minutes, excellent service, friendly driver, would never bother with anyone else again!

I rang another taxi company and after 45 minutes they hadn’t turned up, I was told they would be 10 minutes and rang them twice to be told both times they were on their way. We were staying in St Ives for just a couple of days, but each time we needed a taxi, we called up A1taxis and they were there within ten minutes, once we had to wait 20 minutes so they told us to stay in the pub and they would come and get us from in the pub when they arrived.
