We hired Yellow Moon for a small bathroom remodel (removed the old tub, put in a new one). Boy are we glad we did! They were completely professional, nice, helpful, and did an amazing job. I would hire them again in a second. They even worked around my crazy travel schedule as needed and on the last day, even fixed our toilet that they saw was broken. Greg and crew did an excellent job on our bathroom remodel! They were extremely flexible, and went out of their way to meet our needs. The entire job was professional and of the highest quality: they put down construction paper in areas they worked, kept tools and materials out of our way, recommended and used high quality materials, worked with our budget to accomplish a finished project, and ensured the highest quality craftsmanship every step of the way. They actually took over the project from another contractor with whom we were not satisfied (be careful in your selection!) They even gave us a break on the demo of his lousy work, and replaced it with artfully placed tile, solid plumbing, and accurate fixture installation. The project was completed over six months ago, and has been flawless the entire time! Greg even contacted me a few weeks after finish to ensure everything was going smoothly. Yellow Moon construction has been great! They helped us design and build a craftsman home appropriate stair case to our main entrance porch. The project was on time and on budget and looks beautiful. Sean, one of the company owners, went out of his way to help us in other respects as well. When our other contractor left us stranded without gutters on our house and a major rain storm hit Seattle, Sean came out to our house within an hour of calling him to build a temporary drainage solution that protected our basement remodel and potentially saved us thousands of dollars of clean-up and reconstruction fees. Yellow Moon had new gutters installed on our house in no time and subsequently helped us install an electric indoor heating system as well. All of these projects came in on budget and were executed in a timely manner. Yellow moon had great communications and were easy to deal with when discussing schedule and budget constraints. After a couple small bumps (stomach flu! yikes) our extensive fencing project was a huge success and we are very pleased.  We are handing-out Sean's business card to our neighbors !Kudos to Sean for being willing to work with a new vinyl fencing product and installing it in our sloping yard with many buried treasures from a previous owner.  Even when Sean couldn't be on-site, his crew and his partner, Greg, were here and making sure the project was progressing.We will certainly give them a call for our next project. 5 contractor MIA's later and we started dialing.  We were super glad that we dialed Sean and his team at Yellow Moon because we have been thrilled with everything they have done.  From paint to tiling to a kitchen project that was a bit unconventional.  It was all done with an eye for detail, and honest opinion, and a great deal of thought when it came to making artistic decisions.  The price line is fair, the materials used are a good quality, and the teams they send are A++++.  If you are looking for a contractor that is honest and reliable, this is the place.  Sean understood that communication was key with us.  I cannot praise this enough.  As mentioned above, the quality of work is exceptional, but it is the communication that keeps us returning.  After 5 missing contractors, we suggest going with Sean and the team of Yellow Moon because they are such good communicators.  Talented, honest, fair price, and great communication.  No need to research anymore.  Just call team Yellow Moon and know that your contractor nightmares are over. We spoke with a few people about putting in a deck in our back yard, and Sean at Yellow Moon just really impressed us in the beginning.  He had some great ideas, but also listened to what we wanted done in the project.  They were prompt, polite, and worked quickly.  They were great a clearing out some unwanted landscaping too.  They also stayed right in line with the estimate they gave us, even though we were using some higher quality material.  The finished deck is great, and we're looking forward to entertaining on it for years to come. I have worked with Sean twice now. I experienced him as friendly, professional, detail oriented, attentive, and a good listener. I've remodeled my home on four separate occasions (with Sean twice, both times for my bathrooms) so I think I know a little now about what its like to work with project managers and GMs. In the past I worked with McBride Construction. I only mention them as a reference and comparison to Yellow Moon. McBride is a very large outfit that really doesn't care about you if you don't have a huge job for them, i.e. lots of money to put in. Some of the estimators are professional and seem nice but you're going to meet with them once and then after that they throw you to the wolves. Their GM and multiple project managers were rude, completely careless, messy, and didn't care what you thought about it. (The name of the main guy I dealt with was Tom Gibbons - he was so incredibly patronizing, rude, and awful!!!) Yellow Moon, on the other hand, is still small, basically Sean and his partner who are both very knowledgeable. They can estimate, hear your needs, and work with you directly. Sean was the one in my home the most. I loved the fact that he was so detail oriented (a perfectionist for sure). If the perfectionist in me spotted something, unlike other GMs/PMs who treat you like a nuisance who is nagging them and taking up their time for an unnecessary detail, Sean will actually agree with you and say, "oh, yeah, I totally see that, we can't have that!" Then he'll correct with perfection. To be honest, I'm hesitant to write this review because I know he and his partner (who seems just as thorough and detailed) will do well in their business and they'll be too busy for me!!
