Couples who want to get married: please be aware that The Moon & Sixpence let you pay for guests who are not going to attend your wedding!

Be informed not to make use of them!
More than a month before our wedding date(7 Oct 2023), we gave our final guest total (less than we thought it would be) and they refused to pay our money back! They still owe us more than R12 000!
We sent the contract that we've signed to our lawyer and he agreed that there is no place in the contract that stipulates that we’re not allowed to decrease our minimum amount of guests! The owner has no foot to stand on!
Our lawyer sent a letter to the owner and gave her 14 days to pay our money back.
The only way she can save the reputation of her wedding venue is to admit that she’s wrong and pay our money back!

Really lovely affordable venue. They have two seperate areas for weddings, which both can happen at the same time and you wouldn't know. There is accomodation for a small number of couples or families to be able to find rest before or after the weddings which is lovely. The staff are friendly. The grounds nicely kept and the one wedding section has a pool, which not many places seem to have if you are interested in that sort of thing. More...

All the staff were all fantastic and enthusiastic. Nothing was too much trouble. I met the owner and she explained they have only just started to take bookings for anything other than functions so in a learning transitional period. The setting and gardens are stunning and well kept. TV had good selection of live sport channels not so good for movies. Keep reviewing and improving and it should be a winner. More...
