Great place, I agree it's a gem. Had the pleasure in meeting the owners. Staff was very friendly. Loved the decor and seen fresh salad at the salad station. We ordered a Corona Beef Sandwich and it was delicious!Plenty of beef, so come hungry. I found this gem through Yelp and I'm so happy that I did. Not only is the service super friendly and on their A game, but everything I've tried thus far has not disappointed. All of their ingredients are fresh and full of flavor. I can recommend breakfast sandwiches, the iced chai tea, the Philly cheesesteak and so much more. They've got an endless menu but everything is created with so much thought and passion. They also have a salad station which I'm excited to try next time I'm in the city. really happy with the buffon sandwich i had for lunch today.  I'm looking forward to trying more from this place.   Also great customer service and prompt delivery.   The delivery was earlier than estimated and I am a  jerk for having my ringer off when the delivery guy was calling -   I then saw the missed calls and a polite text from the business.  The delivery guy was so nice about it and he tried to refuse extra tip (i insisted as I appreciate that my failure to get my sandwich from him could cost him other delivery opportunities and tips!)   anyway five stars for the product and the customer service and the delivery . This rating is based off my several Seamless orders from this establishment.I was a little hesitant to try this place at first, but after the first go-around I am hooked! My main go-to orders are either the super large delicious sandwiches or the "hot plate" which includes one main entree and two side dishes of your choice."hot plate" - I usually pick the salmon with mac and cheese and corn as my two sides. The corn is scrumpcious and pops when you bite it with the juice flowing out. However the salmon is usually a little dry. The mac and cheese is relatively blandSandwiches - I have tried 4+ different types of sandwiches from them, and I have not had one which I don't like! You can't really go wrong with the sandwiches here. Each sandwich can be made into either 2 relatively decent portioned size meals, or one super big meal. Trust me, one sandwich will be enough to fill you up for more than a couple hours. They definitely don't skimp on the add-ins for the sandwiches either. More...

I've lived right around the corner from this place but have never tried it until today. I'm very glad I did. There's a wide array of sandwiches, salads and bowls. They also have a breakfast menu, but I didn't try that.Went in around noon on a Monday and it was surprisingly empty. The menu is a bit overwhelming, so I suggest doing some research before going there. I ended up getting the  Buffon Special, with grilled chicken, mozzarella, arugula, roasted red peppers on a ciabatta. The sandwich was warm, and best eaten right away. Never been here, but ordered via Seamless for the first time today for lunch delivery.  I ordered the warm Terra Nostra salad with falafel.  The food arrived right on time.  The salad looked very neat when I opened it.  And all the ingredients looked and tasted fresh.  The salad was huge.  I could not finish it for lunch, so took it home for dinner.  The falafel were ah-mazing.  Honestly, I eat a lot of falafel and most places don't make them good.  They are either too dry, too crispy, or too small. Went to visit my friend and she suggested that we get brunch here~~~There were a bagillion types of sandwiches to choose from! !!! It was a really hard process of deciding which sandwich to get........ there were definitely veggie options that were so tempting to get but ultimately I got a philly cheese steak sandwich. It was my first ever philly cheese sandwich. And it tastes pretty darn good. ( but if u do have a suggestion on where to get philly cheese steak sandwiches please let me know- would love to try).The steak was thinly sliced but still had a bite to it. It was a little salty in my opinion but the flavors were really good and the combo with onion was really good. The bread was soft and really compliments that steak and cheese. I had also gotten their iced coffee but in my opinion it was a little watered down for my taste. The coffee flavor could have been stronger. And before ppl come at me, I dranked the coffee as soon as I got it, so the ice couldn't have watered down the coffee that quick.You can order pick up or delivery or you can of course order at the store. When you order at the store you get a small free salad, but u have to ask for it when you order the food. The prices of the sandwiches were decent. The Mealpal I had reminded a bit of Mulberry & Vine. A piece of chicken, and 2 vege sides.  Except the chicken here is the thigh and drumstick and it was a whole lot of chicken.  The broccoli rabe was spicy and had a nice kick to it.  The chicken was a little dry on the outside but was juicy on the inside.Comparing their mealpal picture to the real thing, I think my picture looked better. I wish I could teleport this place closer to work. I would go there everyday for lunch if I could. Montagu's Gusto specializes in hearty salads with ingredients like sunflower seeds, brussel sprouts, and roasted sweet potatoes. Their food is flavorful, filling and healthy (how often do you run across that combo?). This is a great lunch spot for those of you who are tired of Chop't and Just Salad. I've come here several times for lunch, and I think it's a great healthy option to the area! They actually have quite an extensive menu with both hot and cold salads, some with pita included, sandwiches, and salmon with various vegetable sides. I haven't even come close to trying most of the things.  There's definitely something for everyone here!  Lots of variation on the menu with fresh, healthy choices. You can also add salmon to the salads; one of the more popular ones to do this for is the Greek salad.  I also particularly enjoy the warm salmon sandwich, which is definitely for a richer, more bready lunch.  All of these come at a pretty reasonable price!  It's not often you can get a salmon lunch for less than $10... I ordered a sandwich for delivery today- The Holiday Sandwich. It was 8.99 before tax and tip. The sandwich consisted of oven roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, goat cheese, bacon and avocado on rye bread. It was delicious and a good portion- I only ate half and saved half for another meal. There are quite a few other sandwiches that caught my eye on the menu, so I may have to try them out next time. Not a huge deal, but my delivery note (via delivery . com) mentioned to call me and drop the sandwich at the WeWork reception desk on 5th floor (the building lobby doesn't handle food deliveries). The delivery guy did call me but had some communication issues about dropping it off on 5th floor and he had to hand the phone off to the lobby reception person to explain he was waiting down there. Not a big deal on my part, but the elevators are slow and that kept him waiting down there for much longer than he had to. I'll definitely order from there again- their menu looks great. More...

Decided to try Montagu's Gusto with my MealPal today. It is a bit of a walk from my office but I'm glad I did. I am back to jogging and calorie counting. So with that in mind Montagu's looked like a solid choice. It looked pretty healthy, they offered their lemon roasted chicken platter which consists of lemon roasted chicken (duh), potatoes, and, broccoli rabe (I think). The chicken was on point. They gave a good portion and felt light and flavorful. Broccoli rabe was good. I loved the potatoes too. I could not think of any complaints about the food. I will be back to try some more! More...

This is a review for their catering, which is absolutely unmatched in the area!For our daughter's first birthday party, we needed to order some food for the adults, and after going to several local delis (many of which don't have catering menus and just multiply their "per unit" sandwich cost rather than offering platters. ..) we arrived at Montagu's Gusto.  Holanda helped me navigate the menu and was very knowledgable about the different sandwiches and their accompanying breads (some of which can be cut into 3 segments to serve more people).We settled in on the "C.E.O. package," service for 20, and were able to get 8 of "Bistro Milano" and 12 of "The Holiday."  We also got a heroes platter, service for an additional 8 , and ordered a Philly Cheese Style.  This one is cut into fours so we had 32 servings, which was nice for getting around to everyone.Before I skip ahead to how delicious all these sandwiches were, I have to give huge thanks to Holanda who called me on Saturday morning to double check the precise time I wanted these sandwiches delivered.  She was concerned the hot cheesesteak sandwich would get cold if we ordered for an earlier delivery time than actually needed.  She gave me a down to the minute estimate and the two gentlemen arrived right on time, unpacked everything and displayed on our table right when it was time to eat - perfect!Our guests loved the sandwich choices, the fresh and unique ingredients (see their full menu here: mgustonyc.com/?page_id=5…), and the carefully selected accompanying breads, and thankfully we had menus out for their perusal.  The sandwich slices were each individually wrapped and carefully placed around some nice carved veggies which made for a classy display.Again, for high end sandwiches and hot/cold entrees, Montagu's Gusto is at the top of their game, and quite honestly, the only game in town.  We will definitely be back for some tasty lunches too - Thanks! Local lunch spot that features locally grown foods. The menu includes great ways to stay healthy without getting bored of what you're eating. Also on the menu are "cheat day" menu options!Today was my first time here. I got the Corona Steak sandwich. Wish the bread was a bit fresher. It was a bit tough either because of too much flour or because it was stale. Otherwise the sandwich had a good filling/bread ratio. Steak was tender.Overall I'm happy that I got my sandwich and side salad for about 10. Prices are rather low for the variety on the menu and for the locally grown ingredients. I go there everyday for my morning coffee and the staff always manage to put a smile on my face. Not only are they extremely invested in their business but they actually care about you as an individual. Now the quality of the food is beyond anything I have found in this price category. Always fresh, full of flavors. Once you are done eating you struggle between the satisfaction of feeling full and struggle of wanting more because it really is THAT delicious. I wish nothing but the best for this place and the amazing people who work there. Personal favorite is the Terra Nostra salad and the morning energizer wrap.
