This was one of the very best holidays I’ve ever had! Our trip was full of those moments in life you’ll never forget. Iceland is a wonderful country rich in interesting places to visit all enhanced by our fantastically well-informed guide from Next Stop Iceland. His passion for the country and his extensive knowledge of its geography made our trip extra special. We experienced so much it’s difficult to select. There was the magnificent rift valley, the blue and pink hillside with its steaming fumaroles, driving through the snow on Route 1, walking under a huge waterfall, a massage in the hot water lagoon, the thick spongy moss, the colourful churches with the corrugated roofs and the northern lights folding like green velvet curtains in the sky. Oh, and then there were the icebergs rolling in with the waves onto the black sand beach, awesome! Our Next Stop Iceland guide efficiently arranged internal flights, accommodation and transport for us and we could not fault his informative guiding skills and his enthusiasm; we had such fun. Do it now! More...

I booked a trip to Iceland with NSI and took my16 year old daughter. We had a great English guide; his enthusiasm for Iceland was infectious, his knowledge of facts/figures on this country was staggering. But, by no means does the above description mean 'boring' ... it was a 'hoot' the whole time, with fun times in the bus and mad and impromptu dashes to get a glimpse of the Aurora borealis. During our glacial treks he was patient and encouraging with my daughter and I always felt in safe hands. I cannot recommend tours with this company highly enough. More...

I had my first adventure to Iceland with a guide at NSI in 2013, when we circled the country driving round Route 1 over the course of a week. The guide advised that the route they had planned would suit my interests best and they were right. It was everything I had hoped for and more. Money wasn't a big issue for me, but it wasn't abundant and they kept this in mind during the trip which I was grateful for - stopping at affordable hotels, and offering both budget and more extravagant cafe/restaurant options. The guide's encyclopaedic knowledge about both the landscape, attractions and the Icelanders was what really made the trip, that and the view of course - nothing can prepare you for that...In fact I enjoyed the much so that I returned in 2014 to explore the western fjords with the same guide, and in 2015 with my parents and close friends for a more detailed tour of the south western coast. I did a personalised individual tour in the company of a guide from Next Stop Iceland. It was October, by when there was plenty of snow to make things look wonderful, but never too much to be a hindrance. In one week, we were able to drive right the way round the island from Reykjavik to Reykjavik, taking in fjords, canyons, geysers and geothermal pools, mountains, half a dozen totally different waterfalls, plus glaciers (two of which we walked on) and the most ethereal place on Earth, the glacial lagoon, Jökulsárlón. We were never in a hurry but always had new things to go and see. We stayed on farms and in family homes, where we were looked after with super food. Best of all, the guide's expertise in geology and glaciation was inspiring, always imparted in a way that was accessible to a non-expert. He also had an in-depth knowledge of the country's culture and traditions, with plenty of entertaining anecdotes. It was excellent value for money, and having asked me what aspects of the island interested me, he organised a bespoke itinerary including everything I wanted. I would love to visit Iceland again, but would only wish to do so in the hands of Next Stop Iceland. More...

Iceland is a beautiful place to go and what our guide from Next Stop Iceland added to the trip was a depth of knowledge to satisfy all our curiosities. The passing of information was achieved in conversation so you didn't realise you where learning so much. The first time I travelled with Next Stop Iceland my youngest daughter was four years old and I was given lots of information such as about what food would be available at each meal time so that I could plan my packing accordingly. She loved the trip and I never felt that I was holding the group behind in any way with a little one in tow. Both my girls have frequently used their experience of Iceland for their school homeworks and I thought that this was coming to an end given that our last trip was three years ago but in a recent homework on 'write about your best holiday' my eldest wrote about her trip even though she has been on many other trips since. We would all love to go back to Iceland and we would only choose Next Stop Iceland to take us. More...

This was undoubtedly one of the best holidays I have had in my life and my sincerest thanks have to go to Next Stop Iceland for planning everything so efficiently. Over the course of 5 days we covered off a number of excursions, a whole list of sites that most tourists don't know about and witnessed some of the most dramatic landscapes I will ever see in this lifetime.

Hats off to NSI for their amazingly detailed itinerary and their suggestions for activities when we were stuck in Reykjavik a bit longer than anticipated (due to bad weather). To have regular contact with the organiser to ensure we were getting the most out of the experience was invaluable and this is a true testament to the professionalism that has been displayed since our first phone call.

I would thoroughly recommend visiting Iceland but to get the most out of it I would certainly recommend getting in touch with NSI for a chat with a true expert on the country and everything it has to offer.

Bravo NSI!

An excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide who provided great insights to the history of the country and it's people and especially the geology of the area. Glaciers, waterfalls, geysers, volcanoes, icebergs plus visits to folk museums. What more could one ask for except perhaps a bit more guidance on restaurants in Reykjavik. More...

Amazing holiday, Iceland surpassed my expectations. We had 5 days and each day NSI planned a jam packed itinerary, I saw and did so much, highlights include; golden circle tour, walking on a glacier, visiting the iceberg lagoon, walking behind a waterfall and seeing the aurora borealis. Kit's knowledge and commentary was interesting and entertaining! This is probably a once in lifetime holiday for some (although I would love to go back to see the northern Iceland) and I would highly recommend going on a tour when visit Iceland, Next Stop Iceland in my opinion are second to none! Just wow! This was the most amazing experience! We crammed a lot into our 5.5 days. Meticulous planning and our extremely knowledgeable guide meant that we were able to get a real feel for the country, its people, culture, history and exceptional landscapes. Watching geysers blow every six minutes, walking behind a huge waterfall, walking on a glacier, exploring how people lived in the early 20th century, walking along the black sand beach with its “sneaker waves”, learning about the volcanic eruptions, watching the different coloured icebergs floating past on their way out to sea, eating the most delicious whale steak and soaking in the blue lagoon on our final morning made this the trip of a lifetime!
