Mnemosyne studio gave me the most amazing portrait experience of my life! The owners of this studio have seriously raised the bar in a way I never expected from a portrait studio. In the initial consultation we went over everything I wanted to capture in the photos and we really got to know each other through the process and I left feeling comfortable that they got the idea of what I wanted. On the day of our shoot I came in, I got pampered and all dolled up and I felt like Royalty! I felt so comfortable and at ease with Christy & Ray and I enjoyed myself so much! Not at all what my past experiences getting pictures taken were like. When I saw all the images during their Reveal process, they showed me that they had an even better idea of what I wanted than I did! I realized that they really listened to me on a caring, personal level with the professionalism I needed as a business owner during our initial consult. I cannot even begin to explain the amazing experience I had with my photo shoot. Please understand, my anxiety kicks up 10 fold at the thought of having any kind of professional pictures taken of me. Christy and Ray made me feel like family. I was so comfortable and even excited days leading up to my shoot. The makeover was a blast (something I've never allowed anyone to do LOL) and the shoot itself was so much fun!!! But the best part was the reveal. I walked in to a room with every single solitary proof matted and out for display. It truly took my breath away!! They then sat me down and showed me the video they created which encompassed everything from the day of my shoot. From the words and quotes used to describe me to the music behind it . it all was so overwhelming that I couldn't stop the happy tears. This was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. The owners at this studio are the most wonderful people you will ever meet. Not only do they do their own photography in the studio, but they rent space to other photographers as well. They are very polite and personable. The studio itself is gorgeous with two separate seating areas, and a private makeup room with a sectioned off changing area. Oh did I mention they have a coffee bar?! These two amazing people really knew what they were doing and I've never seen a place in North Carolina quite as amazing as this place. I was introduced to Mnemosyne Studio through a Pink Mentor Network Headshot Refresh Event. I was a bit nervous, but that vanished quickly with the warmth of Christy and Ray and the wonderful atmosphere that they have created at the studio. The whole process was fun and relaxed. Yesterday, I saw my proofs. I was amazed at what I saw. They really captured my personality on camera. The pictures were stunning. There are many good photographers, but Christy and Ray are gifted and above the rest. Those are the best pictures that anyone has ever taken of me and I can't wait to show them to everybody. I stopped by to ask some questions about the studio and they really took their time to explain how they are different from other photography studios. I was very impressed with how much time they took to explain the process and how they stand behind the photos they take. They start off with a consultation with you prepping you for the photo shoot making sure they understand What type of photos you want taken and they even help you coordinate your wardrobe. Then on another day you come in for your professional makeover with make up done and several outfit changes during your photo shoot it’s truly a day of pampering where are you are the star. For that entire process you pay only a small fee. Then you come back two weeks later for your reveal where they show you your proofs and you only purchase what you love. So if they have not captured photos that you just have to have you pay nothing for them. I am very impressed with this studio!!! More...

Today I provided makeup work for a model shooting with Christy Miller. The studio is amazing! It has such wide spaces and great potential to let your photographic mind and artist side run wild. They offer several bays, a lounge and the multiple makeup stations with lights to control the power output was amazing! I was a tad warm when I showed up and Ray brought a fan! So kind! Well worth every penny. Massive open shooting area! Multiple shooting bays, friendly staff. Two seating areas, entertainment. Multiple makeup stations, dressing area, seating for models waiting in the wings. As well as other amazing hidden surprises! So much opportunity in one place that I don't know where to start! Beautiful shooting areas inside and outside. The building has so much character, including original hardwood flooring. The lighting in all shooting areas is amazing. Headshot studio is a great asset and the dressing room which has three makeup stations, plenty of lighting, space for changing and a private changing area is perfect for a group of models. There were six of us changing at the same time and not once did I feel cramped. Definitely my first choice for shooting again!!!! More...
