I still cannot believe the horrific experience this DJ gave my friend at her wedding. He was angry and lost his temper while at the reception towards her because she gave a song request. He was incredibly unprofessional and horrible to her and the guests. Do NOT hire this DJ for any event. I don’t expect this vendor to take responsibility for the horrible service he provided for our wedding, but I could at least warn other couples to insure they hire a different DJ. We felt robbed based on so many other couples receiving a normal DJ experience. We clearly got the DJ on a terrible day, and he became unhinged at the start of the reception. I never expected to see a hired vendor scream and have a meltdown during an event, there were moments of incoherent blind rage, due to us asking for simple requests. He went off script multiple times, made consistent mistakes including incorrect names and overall lacked all self awareness and general respect. I don’t even know where to begin with my experience with Frank. It went from bad to worse starting off with him saying our names incorrectly at the grand entrance and him ending with screaming in the brides face. I initially booked after reading all of the good reviews, so it’s almost impossible to believe that he treats everyone like this. I’m not sure if he had some sort of mental break down, or anger issues arise but he was extremely combative and argumentative. I was very clear during initial meetings and emails that we wanted all music to be the clean version due to not wanting profanity due to small children being present. Frank assured us it wouldn’t be a problem and that radio edit versions are what he would use. I created a playlist for the reception with a mix of songs, some more upbeat than others and some for slow dancing. Apparently my music was the “reason” no one was dancing. He disregarded the guests taking sunset photos, the fact that it was still light outside or that the dessert bar was in another area then where the dance floor was. So it was suggested to us to do the anniversary dance to get people dancing since “no one wanted to dance to our music” . We agreed an we did that, after my MOH told him after that we’d want hip hop and dance music from now on. AGAIN previously agreed to CLEAN edits. I didn’t realize we’d have to mention that a dozen times. So the DJ plays a non clean version of some song with multiple F bombs and other profanity. I went over quickly and told him and he choose to scream at me and told me I needed to make up my mind. He said “but they’re dancing” and I had to remind him it’s MY wedding. I was shocked how aggressive and hateful he was as I was expecting a normal professional grown man to speak to me. He then proceeded to tell me “no hip hop music exist that isn’t explicit “ what do DJs play at high school dances Frank? As someone who works at one, NON profanity versions. It was clear he just didn’t care, and it was his way or the highway. He got paid, so he can do whatever he wants. Then, on top of his rage, he got on the microphone and announced that he “wasn’t allowed to play hip hop”. It was almost as if a child was throwing a temper tantrum, he then played non lyric tech music that no one could dance too. When he would play a known song, he would get on on the mic and yell “CUSS WORD” over the song. My guests and other vendors were horrified. They said they had never seen anyone so disrespectful and unprofessional especially to the bride. We would look over and literally see him laughing. He thought it was hysterical. He continued to play bad songs, until we have 30 minutes left and I couldn’t take it anymore. I asked if he could go back to my playlist so I could line up the next 4-8 songs. He again was irate, I then picked an usher song and his head about blew off, he got in my face and yelled “You’re a hypocrite” 2 times!!!! He yelled and said that was the “most” explicit song to every exist…. The only way I could respond was trying to remain calm because he was clearly was having an episode and I was honestly fearing for my safety. He then graciously played me 4 whole songs I wanted at my own wedding and guess what? EVERYONE danced. I’m still in shock and disgusted by his actions, other vendors and guests were apologizing on his behalf because they had never seen anything like that. Thankfully, my supportive bridal party and family distracted me and didn’t allow it to ruin my day. I cannot discourage future clients enough, to not book with him. Regardless of the positive reviews we were clearly duped and treated horribly. We stayed calm, didn’t raise our voice or get aggressive and we’re still treated like this. He clearly forgot we were the PAYING customers and this wasn’t his party. No amount of miss communication or frustration should lead to verbal attacks on a bride. He should be ashamed. More...

I strongly discourage hiring this DJ based on our experience as wedding guests. During the event, we observed the DJ behaving inappropriately towards the bride, yelling at her and making rude comments. Despite the bride's simple request for radio edits of music, he engaged in an argument instead of making the change, which I assume deprived her of the opportunity to fully enjoy her wedding celebration. Moreover, he made an unnecessary announcement implying that hip hop was prohibited, even though the bride had only requested radio edits, not a genre switch. He even came and complained to the people at my table about the brides request to limit the amount of profanity in the music… extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. To make matters worse, the DJ played random and challenging-to-dance-to techno music for about an hour, disregarding the bride's repeated pleas to stick to the song list she had provided. Instead of respecting her wishes, he deliberately introduced distracting noises and unusual sound effects into the songs. It seemed evident that his actions were aimed at attempting to dampen the celebratory mood. However, we remained committed to celebrating the bride and groom, despite this unprofessional vendor's behavior, we were not going to let this man take away from such a beautiful and fun celebration! Frank was so interactive with our guests. My husbands grandmother suffered a severe stroke and was thankfully able to make but when asked during the reception to allow them to dance to their wedding song he was so accommodating and sweet about it. I contacted Frank on 5 days before a company Christmas party. I was almost sure that no one would have the availably; let alone stay within a reasonable price. Frank made it happen. Him and his wife were a delight to meet and he definitely brought some life to our party! Although Frank was able to fill our need last minute, please do not put him (or anyone else) under that pressure. Our event was a smaller venue, a loose schedule, and maybe 60-ish people. Frank with Mixx the Beat Productions was awesome. Given how crazy and uncertain everything has been during the pandemic, he’s one wedding vendor that was flexible every step of the way. Our venue was in an area that has a noise ordinance and he worked with the venue to get creative with the sound system in order to respect the ordinance as well. He played all our favorite songs and was able to get people on the dance floor. He was also kind enough to find some lesser known songs we requested that he didn’t originally have.
