Ever since this place opened last year I've been wanting to try it! I finally got my chance last night and I am so glad I did! I ordered delivery of a large cookie dough and ice cream combo. I ended up getting M&M cookie dough combined with coffee mocha crunch ice cream. As a nice touch they also added Broncos colors sprinkles. Preparation and delivery was quick and efficient. I was somewhat concerned about the size when I saw what was considered a "large" combo. But it was very filling! The taste of the rich smooth ice cream combined with the sort of sweet/savory combo of the cookie dough was absolutely fantastic. I will say it's a bit of a sugar overload so I won't be eating here too often, but it's good to know there is a nice treat close by to have every once in a while. I'll definitely be back again! This is an awesome concept and I loved being able to get two treats in one! I came by with one of my classmates to treat ourselves. Before walking in the door, she had already proclaimed that she loved the place. I haven't seen a place like this before, so I had to try it and bring a friend with a love for ice cream along for the ride.  I definitely was not disappointed when coming in. I was greeted with a bright, clean shop reminiscent of a frozen yogurt place, but instead got to sample some cookie dough and ice cream in flavors that I loved as a kid (and still enjoy now). Service was friendly and efficient, and I liked how we were able to try a few things before deciding. We opted for the ice cream/cookie dough combo and I chose the oreo cookie dough with the birthday cake ice cream. I loved the birthday cake ice cream, and was a little less impressed with the cookie dough but I still liked it. It was a little thicker than I expected, and after eating the whole thing, felt like I got more than I thought I did. I'll definitely be back to try some more of the desserts this place has to offer! Love this place! Ice cream is fresh and I normally don't do the cookie dough mix but every now and then I will. They even have loyalty points which is cool and if you work in the shopping area you get a discount.

This place was a fun surprise to find in Aurora. It's the first cookie dough/ice cream place I've ever seen. They have about 8 flavors of dough that you can add to ice cream. You can also just eat the dough itself or ice cream itself. You can also put some ice cream between two cookies. The cookie dough tasted ok but it's texture was not like real cookie dough. That made it hard to feel like it's as fun as eating real dough. I had M&M cookie dough with vanilla ice cream. My daughter just had plain dough. It's a fun idea. I'd like it more if the dough was grittier or was more of a cookie dough consistency. This store was very clean. The employees were all very helpful and knowledgeable about how many scoops per size. MBCD is not only bigger than you thought it would be inside, it's delightfully as good as you want your local cookie dough and ice cream shop to be. More than anything, the service here is really stands out because this is a dessert place that takes a little more explaining than your normal ice cream shop.After having Doughp (born in SF, made famous in Las Vegas) a while back, I started seeing more of these cookie dough places pop up around the country. Denver, being the very mediocre-to-just-OK food city that it is, is just starting to get in the cookie dough shop game, five years after the coasts did. While that's annoying, that's the state of the Denver food scene, but I'm happy that Mixing Bowl is representing the movement in a great way.Cookie dough on its own is really, really dense. By the end of a small cup, if you're like most people, you've had enough. The best part about Mixing Bowl is that they also have a delicious selection of ice cream flavors to go with your cookie dough. Mixing good ice cream with good cookie dough makes for a great dessert, and it makes for a much better experience. Everyone working there is happy to let you sample flavors, and they're super helpful to help you figure it out if you're there for the first time.It's clean. The combos are plentiful. Delicious & a fun treat! I mean how can you go wrong with cookie dough?!? I went with the medium size and it was 6, yes 6 scoops of cookie dough! And while they are small scoops it was still a lot - though my son did enjoy the rest the next day. Next time I'll go with a small or mini. It is nice they allow you to mix flavors so you can try several flavors on a trip. My son and nephew had the combo - cookie dough and ice cream. They enjoyed the best of both worlds. I also bought some of the dough pops they make and made them into a 'bouquet' for my son's dance recital. The employees here are very sweet and helpful!I only took off a star because what I like about cookie dough is the grainy texture - weird thing to want I know - but the texture was pretty mushy for their dough. Tried the chocolate brownie cookie dough and butter pecan ice cream together. So good! I would 100% recommend the chocolate brownie over the other flavors. So rich and moist. Absolutely perfect and a single reason to go back. They have a lot of ice cream flavors too but I would stick to the creamy flavors, as they work better with the cookie dough flavors. Along with being a chai addict, I sure do love cookie dough.  In all shapes and sizes!  I live not too far from this place and I had heard from a few of my friends that this place was super good and really cool with what they offer next to the edible cookie dough.  I decided to take my brother one weekend and we walked in feeling super overwhelmed with all of the amazing choices.  First off, I did not know that ice cream was an option to add on with your cookie dough serving.  Second off, I did not know they offered cookie dough, cookie sandwiches.  Third, they even sell pints of cookie dough too!  The amount that this place had to offer was insane to me.  They even sell coffee, tea, milk, and water.  I feel as if those type of drinks really suit the type of food being offered too.  The staff was very friendly and helpful through the consumer decision process.  My brother got a cookie dough, ice cream, and cookie sandwich.  If that makes any sense at all.  I got a small scoop of cookie dough with vanilla ice cream.  The cookie dough was chocolate chip cookie dough for both of us.  However, there are many other flavors of cookie dough to choose from as well, like peanut butter, m&m, and brown sugar I believe.  The options are endless.  I was truly impressed with this business and the food was good!  I still think homemade cookie dough might be better, but at least this cookie dough is edible and safe to consume.  Plus, who doesn't like cookie dough when it is right in front of them?  Be prepared to leave with a full belly and happy heart. I really tried to find something I didnt like about this place, but I could not. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, the prices are very fair and the treats were great. I am really into ice cream but my wife and kid love hand scooped ice cream so to find a place that has cookie dough and ice cream does not sound like a reality, but it was.
