Miriam is by far the best family photographer I’ve worked with. She worked so amazingly well with my family. My children were then 4 and a newborn. She captured natural, timeless, beautiful shots of the whole family. She made these breathtaking photos into wall art decorating my home and into a beautiful album I will always treasure. I intend to use her again in the near future with my children and my parents (grandparents) to capture memories to preserve for my children to have to remember this special time in their lives. Working with Miriam was such a pleasure! She had so much patience with my family from getting BEAUTIFUL pictures out of my daughter who was not into getting her picture taken to helping figure out our outfits and getting the shots we wanted. The pictures came out so beautiful beyond my expectations we will treasure them forever. She also provided an excellent make up artist who help this tired mama look my best! I searched extensively to find a photographer for my newborn that had a natural and soft aesthetic. I believe I ended up finding Miriam through a google search and I am glad I did. Miriam came to my house in Queens 3 times, she took great care in showing me her work and helping me decide what we wanted. She helped pick our outfits and I showed her some blankets I wanted to use for my daughter.The 2nd time she came was photo day, this was my first child and ended up needing a C-section. The timing of our photo session was perfect! I had a few weeks to heal, and get acclimated to my new role in life. Also, this made for great pictures! My daughter wasn't a just out of the womb and squishy, her face was beginning to plump up and show features, we even got a few with her eyes open.Miriam is a mother herself, and came well prepared, and totally put me at ease. She made the process very easy and she took time to make sure we got different shots.My photos have a beautiful almost nostalgic feel, and I have gotten to use them for a few occasions. We had a portrait printed and hung in our house (which Miriam brought to us on her third trip to us) and we used them as thank you's and a welcome sign for our daughters baptism.Overall, it was a pleasure to work with Miriam and we couldn't be happier with the end result. I found Miriam through Yelp. I was enamoured not only by the beautiful images she captured, but also the love and emotion that emanated from each of them. We booked an in-home newborn session with her, and it quickly became evident to us that Miriam is not only talented, she genuinely cares about each of her clients and takes the time to ensure a comfortable and memorable session. She spent the whole day with us waiting patiently to capture the perfect image. We did not feel rushed through feeds, diaper changes, and other unexpected mishaps. As she is also a full-time mother of nine, her gentle approach should not have come as a surprise to us-- she immediately put our two-month old baby and us at ease. More importantly, Miriam is highly organized, very professional, and communicative throughout the entire process from start to finish. The resulting images did not disappoint, and the most difficult part was deciding which photos to keep. Yes, her rates are on the expensive side depending on what you choose to purchase, but if distinctive heirloom quality photographs by a thoughtful, organized, and talented photographer are what you seek, then Miriam is the right fit for you. She curated our beautiful keepsake album which will be cherished by our family for many generations to come. Miriam was the most thorough photographer I’ve ever worked with. She helped me from the very beginning to choose flattering outfits that would photograph well for our session, helped me to choose the best layout for our prints in our home, plus installed them with her husband! She was very friendly, polite and professional and made us all at ease during the shoot. She was also very patient with our 3 year old son who got antsy after an hour of pictures. The pictures and album were touched up to perfection and we could not have been happier with the entire experience. If you are reading this review searching for the perfect photographer for your newborn/family like I was several months back I suggest you stop looking! !! Miriam is hands down and point blank the best photographer out there. As a new mommy, I spent several hours reading countless reviews and asking for referrals until I came across Miriam Dubinsky Photography. As I hope you can see from her website and other customer reviews of her work she is beyond words extraordinary. Miriam worked diligently to create the most comfortable and organic atmosphere for my family's portraits. Believe me when I say she will not hesitate to spend countless hours/days working with you in prep and the day-of the shoot to capture very unique and special moments with your baby, husband (and even pets if you have them:)! It also helps Miriam is a baby whisperer (at least thats what I think!). As an experienced mom, Miriam handled my baby with the most care, paused for feedings/changing and she helped us every step of the way so that my baby and I felt 100% comfy. She did not rush to get out the door or set any time limits which I found fantastic specially with a new born. After the shoot she worked with us in selecting and editing minor imperfections. We had so many perfect images to pick from and I found that also to be rare!! I really cant say enough in words about the quality and dedication Miriam puts into her work. Our portraits are currently displayed all over our home and they are absolute PERFECTION. Something we will cherish in our home forever. Our newborn session with Miriam was everything I could have asked for and more. She was super accommodating, rescheduling our session due to poor weather and my husband being sick. We love our photos and enjoyed the photo shoot! Miriam captured beautiful images of our family and home and made each of us feel comfortable during the photo shoot. She was extremely accommodating, rescheduling our session at the last minute because the weather was not good on our originally scheduled day. My 2 year old daughter does not typically warm up to people quickly, but she was at ease around Miriam within minutes of her arrival due to her kind and sweet demeanor. Miriam was so patient and captured some truly beautiful moments and images. We get tons of compliments on the photos Miriam took, too.
