Millie was one of the recommended suppliers at our wedding venue. When we first met Millie we knew she was the photographer for us. Millie is so friendly and puts you immediately at ease and gave us plenty of options for our package and even helped us organise the timings of the day. On the day of our wedding Millie was amazing, she helped organise the group shots and equally blended into the background capturing shots you didn't even realise she was taking. When we received our link to our online album we were delighted by how Millie had captured our day and we love our photos, every little detail has been captured and it is so nice to see our day from a different view. Millie and Max took some absolutely stunning photos for our wedding that came in a personalised box with USB that's beautiful (we've kept it on display). They were a pleasure to spend the day with and our guests loved them, Millie helped me with getting myself and my bridesmaids into our dresses and had a little kit with emergency items that we may have needed that did come in very handy. Millie was wonderful to work with from start to finish. A marvellous blend of friend and drill sergeant! My husband and I felt so relaxed working with her - we had so many giggles and we really appreciated the quiet time that having our couples photos gave us and felt that Millie was really respectful and encouraging of that and non-intrusive. Millie and Max Photography was all we wanted and more. From initial contact Millie couldn't do enough to help give advice towards our wedding even non photography related she was happy to help! Millie was lovely to work with before and on the day. She was great at rounding guests up and the rest of the time hardly even noticed she was there. We received our photos back in great time and were amazed at the selection of photos. They were all beautiful and really showed our day off perfectly. We used Millie and Max for our wedding and from initial contact, Millie was completely brilliant. Friendly, helpful and warm. She replied to my email within an hour and we were chatting through requirements that same day. She then came out and met us. On the day Millie put everyone at their ease. We had a real laugh throughout the prep, ceremony and reception and whilst she was part of the day, she was always unintrusive. We chose Millie and Max to photograph our wedding in August this year. I new I loved her photos straight away after looking at her portfolio. Millie was very accommodating- in that while I wanted some posed photos, I really wanted lots of informal and relaxed ones too. On the day Millie was very professional but also warm and made me feel comfortable having the photos taken. On the day both Millie and her assistant were there when we needed them but blended into the shadows when not - which seems to have worked wonders given the amount of natural looking shots we got of our guests.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
To interact with my clients naturally as this will make them comfortable and more at ease.
I am not one for having my photo's taken so I understand that a majority of my clients feel this way too, so I make it as easy and as relaxed as possible so I can capture the real person - not a false, awkward smile!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
A date that they have in mind! Its such a shame to be discussing a wedding or an event, getting really excited and then realising I am already booked.
This is my full time profession and I am booked up to 2 years in advance!
What do you love most about your job?
Everything! I love the buzz of every wedding, the happiness of every occasion, the happiness that people are sharing together - I get into it too!
I am very much a "people person" and enjoy the social aspect of my work along with the creative side of things.

My style of wedding photography is to blend in with your guests and photograph your day as it unfolds. I take candid / reportage photos for the most part ensuring that key details are not missed.
I can also include posed photographs of the family members and friends that join you on the day to ensure you have a record that you can look back on cherish.
Children's portraits
People often say do not work with Animals or Children... I disagree with this statement - I love working with children of all ages - their personalities are always very different which makes no 2 photoshoots the same.
I engage with the child/children in such a way that their honest smiles, giggles and laughter gets captured on my camera - none of the cheesy false grins! I allow them to be themselves and talk to me about their favourite memories, TV programmes (or event computer games).
The fun they have is shown in the final photographs.
