I was tutored for 8 weeks for the SAT. Within 6 weeks, my SAT score improved by over 100 points.Scheduling sessions was very easy and they will work around your schedule to make sure you get the time that you paid for. Each session was very informative and helpful. From personal experiences with other tutors, it can be difficult to admit that you don’t know how to do a certain problem, because of the tutors frustration. My experience with Miles Smart Tutoring was nothing like that. If I didn’t know a problem, I could ask as much as I needed to without the worry of annoying the tutor or making them frustrated. I just wanted to thank Mr. Perry for help my daughter! I had searched for him after she had given her first SAT exam and scored at 1350. It was a decent score but wasn’t a fantastic one. So I found Mr. Perry on Google and he talked to my daughter and after gauging her capabilities recommended that we sign up for just 8 one hour classes over a period of 4 weeks. Every weekend he would teach my daughter for 2 hours and give her lots of homework for the weekdays which she sincerely did. Well, she appeared for her SAT exam for the second time and we just got the score which is 1460! A 110 point jump on the previous attempt was just amazing! So I thank you Mr. Perry for help her! I studied for the GRE with Perry Miles for 3 months and I have improved so much, it's unbelievable. He breaks things down very easily and is an incredible person to work with. I can not state how grateful i am to Perry Miles and Nick Walker. My 13 year old daughter is finishing the 9th grade of Laurel Springs, she had a situation where she was unable to do school for 6 weeks and had forgotten most of what she had learned. She was taking geometry which is beyond my ability to help. Perry listened to me and our unique situation, set us up with Nick for 2 weeks of tutoring before midterms. My Daughter had 3 tests for midterms in this math class and earned a 80/94/ and a 100 on the tests. Nick explained all the things that confused her and she retained all of it because she fully understood it. I am not one to write reviews easily but this one is a must. My son Erick is a strong student and attained a 1470 on the SAT's which is a great score already. When Erick heard that he could potentially attain another $10000 study abroad scholarship by increasing his score to 1500 he decided to do just that and take the SAT's again. We made a last minute decision to look for a tutor and that is how we met Perry. A week before the SAT test he met with Erick for a 2 hour tutor session. The focus was math and he was able to provide strategies that would help Erick to increase his math score. This is just what Erick needed. Erick was already strong in math but had difficulty implementing this in the SAT due to time constraints. Erick improved his math score from a 710 to a 790. Not only did he improve his math score, his total score improved to a 1570. Erick improved his SAT score by 100 points. WOW!!! Not only did Perry give him strategies for math, he spent more than two hours with Erick giving him strategies for life. Erick has not had the best time management skills and no matter how we tried to help him, the discussion he had with Perry made the world of difference. It put time spent I think into perspective for Erick. Perry gave Erick a SAT study schedule for the week to prepare so he would know how much time was needed every day for SAT prep since Erick still had lots of homework for his IB courses as well. We are forever grateful not just for an improved SAT score but for strategies that Erick can also take to college to be successful. As a parent that did not think we needed tutoring since Erick was doing well I now will do the same for my daughter from the start to get the highest score possible with the right STRATEGIES. I asked Smart Tutoring Inc to build me a resume in a new field, which I am studying and he was extremely prompt and communicated with me all through out the process, to keep me in the loop. I felt he did not do this in a bubble. He definitely felt the need to include my input. I as asked me to send all pertinent information regarding what I will need for this resume, which I sent. After several hours he sent me a sample and I was thoroughly satisfied. My son, a junior in a private high school, has had a great experience working with Perry. Perry carefully evaluated his strengths and weaknesses to determine the areas of focus for the sessions, and helped identify the appropriate test (the ACT) for preparation. The sessions were customized to fit our familiy's needs including our schedule, my son's attention span and identifying what motivation was required forimprovement in the areas where my son was not as strong.
