Michelle was an AWESOME wedding photographer. She provided her own ideas/insights for our photo shoots but she was still open and listened to everything we wanted as well. She responded quickly to my initial contact. I spoke with her via phone before meeting her in person. I already knew I wanted to book her just from looking at her work online, but her personality is what sold me. Michelle is very likable, easy going, jovial, easy to work with, and very knowledgeable about what she does. I knew she was the photographer I was looking for. My husband and I then met with her in person and we both agreed that we had found our wedding photographer. She made us both feel comfortable.
She was patient and understanding when it came to rescheduling our engagement photo shoot a few times. The day of our shoot, it was misty outside with light rain. So being a natural girl, my hair frizzed up very quickly (our pictures were outside). We got through the first outfit shooting okay, besides my husband being eaten by mosquitoes constantly. But by the time we changed to our 2nd outfit, my hair was DONE. Our pictures from the first outfit came out really good still (Michelle is THAT GOOD). But Michelle offered us a second shoot to make up for the ugly weather that day. Talk about being thoughtful! We loved the pictures from our second shoot even more!
On wedding day Michelle was prompt and made sure to catch ALLLL the details. She and her second photographer were there not only to capture our memories, but they also helped myself and the groom if we needed anything. They helped to make our day perfect. Our pictures were received early (weeks before planned). I would definitely book with Michelle again and recommend her to anyone else. If you want a photographer who has exceptional service, takes amazing pictures, and with great personality, then Michelle is who you are looking for. Words can not express my gratitude towards Michelle and her services. My fiance (at the time) and I selected her for our wedding after coming across her amazing work on social media. From day one, she has always been such a kind and genuine soul. Once we were able to meet her in person, we absolutely loved her energy and knew that she was the one!
What set her apart from many of our other vendors was her level of involvement throughout our wedding planning process. From the initial wedding packet to the regular check ins, she was extremely supportive and very receptive to our wants, needs, and ideas. If I ever had a question or concern (to this day) she always responds in a timely manner. This was such a relief at the time, as I was stationed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland while planning a wedding in Atlanta, Ga. Her level of commitment was so outstanding that she even offered to accomplish my bridal/boudoir shoot in Washington, DC during her leisure visit. This eliminated so much stress and anxiety as I was stationed so many miles away and it was rather difficult to coordinate time to fly back and forth to Atlanta. Once we completed my bridal shoot I was completely sold! I couldn't stop expressing to my fiance how pleasant it was to work with her and how she made me feel so comfortable yet so fierce! In the final days leading up to the wedding she was very proactive in reaching out to me for any last minute details which was greatly appreciated.
Needless to say our pictures came out wonderful and we are beyond pleased with her services. Michelle really left her mark to the point that we felt as if we knew her far beyond the wedding planning process. Michelle is AMAZING!! My husband and I had an initial consultation with her and before we knew it, we were chatting like old friends. Michelle included a free engagement session in our package and she immediately put us at ease throughout the session. On our wedding day, Michelle and a second photographer made sure to capture every moment without interrupting the natural flow of the day. I can't say enough about the perfect service that we received from Michelle Davina Photography. I am a person who likes things to be right and this trait became magnified when we started planning our wedding. My husband and I had very high standards of how we wanted our day to happen and Michelle was absolutely perfect! Seriously, PERFECTION! For a bride to say that is the highest of compliments. Michelle was very professional, but also very personable and down to earth. We have even received feedback from guests raving about her (like older family members who appreciate her respectful and warm demeanor interacting with them for posed pictures). When we got the pictures back the compliments piled on even more. Her coverage of our day was even better than we could have asked. The quality and resolution of the pictures makes you feel like you're there. Everyone looked great- even people who hate to see themselves in pictures can't get enough of seeing Michelle's shots. She's truly an artist.

We opted to do 100% photography and second-guessed ourselves as the day approached, but when we looked at the pictures we knew we'd made the right choice. Her coverage was so thorough and with so many angles and perspectives, it's like having video without the audio. It's actually a lot more charming to have pictures tell the story than video (especially since someone's car alarm went off in the middle of our vows- not making this up- did I mention the wedding was outdoors?).

We also appreciate the shots taken when we didn't realize that we were being photographed. Michelle and her assistant were very vigilant in covering everything. We wouldn't change a thing about the service we received, from start to finish. Michelle really gave us star treatment. She listened to us and gave us exactly what we wanted- a unique experience reflective of our personal style. She really helped make our day magical.
