Michaelis Events catered my husband's Kentucky State Police Post 5 Christmas party last night and it was incredible! Lauren and Logan were amazing to work with, and both were extremely patient with all my questions and changes to the menu. The portions were fantastic and the food was outstanding! My family and I attended the Wizard Christmas Extravaganza and we were blown away. The venue was simply incredible and absolutely 'magical'. From start to end it felt like you were stepping into another world, which my kids absolutely loved. The characters and actors were amazing and the attention to detail at the stations and decorations were stunning. The food was outstanding and we loved that it was buffet style! It was delicious and we all got our fill. It was definitely the epitome of a feast! We would love to attend again and highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of the world of wizardry to make this a holiday tradition! We definitely will! More...

Michaelis Events catered my daughter’s wedding and the food was very good! The red pepper cream sauce got many compliments from guests. The staff were polite, professional, and the bar staff were very personable and fun. We booked the wedding over a year and a half ago. The one draw back is that there seems to be a lot of turn over. We dealt with 4 different contact people over this period of time. The last person we worked with (Logan) really went out of her way to make things were perfect for the big day. My family had a wonderful time at the Wizard's Christmas Extravaganza. The event space was beautifully decorated and the actors and staff were extremely friendly and entertaining. We enjoyed a nice meal together and then got sorted into our "house". After dinner, we moved to the classes which were very interactive and then browsed the shops. There was a good variety of items available at different price points. Purchased a few small items from the shop and then topped off the night with yummy dessert. My daughter's wedding reception was held here on Saturday July 22, 2017. The beauty of this venue is spectacular. I absolutely love this company!!! I used them for my wedding in 2012!! We went shopping around like most couples do for a caterer for their wedding. . Compared to one of Louisville's biggest named caterer, The Catering Company was not only $7,000.00 cheaper!!!!! BUT they were providing more food and better tasting food!!! My husband wanted brisket as part of our meal. It was not on the menu, but Emily had no problem asking the chef if it was possible.. They made it possible and it was an amazing brisket!! The Catering Company was such a pleasure to work with in planning our wedding. Michelle was very responsive to all of my (many) questions, concerns, etc, and went out of her way to ensure that every detail was taken care of and that everything was exactly how I had envisioned it. I am the manager for a computer training company that located in Louisville as well as many other sites across the United States. I have individuals and companies that rent rooms in my building to host trainings for there company employees. I have used several catering companies for the events at my center but none have come close to "The Catering Company"! Most all of the catering companies have good food but, what sets this company part, for sure, is the customer care and 1:1 support I have received from my Contact at the company! Michelle Dykes is and has been phenomenal!! She is "Johnny on the spot" with what ever I need regardless of needing to add or remove food etc.. from a menu that was set and going to be served. In my experience with other catering companies, removing food and decreasing there profit was not only frowned upon but told me "NO". Worse of all, after talking to them about changes and hanging up the phone, the way they talked to me and about my choice had me asking, "did I do a bad thing. Have I hurt someone?" The way they talked to me had me feeling as if I had broken the law and run a red light or something!! Michelle and "the Catering Company" are the exact opposite, because they not only believe but TRULY make you feel like the customer is always right and we will do what ever it takes and they want to make sure they have the best catering experience possible! There policy is that a customer must give 48hr notice at minimum to add or remove food, drink etc from the menu! That is not always a possibility but, Michelle works with me and even last minute helps as much as can possible! She has without a doubt, provided immaculate and astounding customer care far exceeding her typical job duties to make sure that I had everything I needed. It's obvious that she not only enjoys her job, but takes pleasure in making sure that her customers feel as if they have received and exceeded 5 star service!! I can see that Michelle has a profound love and natural interest in helping others, regardless of what she is providing to them! She will work to provide you anything and everything in her power that you could desire to make your room rental the best and what keeps her going, are simply the smiles upon the faces of those that she has and still serves!! She is a reflection of "The Catering Company" and there attitude to not only provide great food, but truly listen to the customer, provide the highest grade of customer service, but most of all.... make the customer feel special and important!!! If there was another star available to choose, I would rank Michelle and "The Catering Company" at 6 Stars!!!! More...

Michelle and the Catering Company were great from the start. In the beginning we had a hard time deciding what food we wanted for our weddings and they were kind and flexible enough to give us THREE tastings. They were so cordial and had geniune interesting helping us find the best food for our guests.

The Catering Company was incredible on the day of our wedding. Food tasted amazing and was exactly what we had picked out in our tastings - no surprises at all. The staff was also really professional and attneded to our needs along with our guests' needs. We had the filet and salmon and they were both great. In my opinion, fiet and salmon are both difficult foods to cook in bulk for 150 guests but they pulled it off.

If I had one critique of the catering company, it would be their responsiveness. We tried communicating via e-mail and there were times where we didn't get a response as promtly as we had hoped. With that said, everything was taken care of when it was all said and done. When it got closer and clsoer to our wedding day, we had no problem getting a hold of them.

For the last two years, my organization has put on a holiday party for the girls at Maryhurst. In preparation of the dinner for this year, I sent out letters and made phone calls to restaurant and catering companies all over Louisville. The Catering Company was one of the only two organizations willing to make a donation for the dinner. Their gracious donation made some young girls who haven't always had it easy in life that much happier. They loved every bit of the meal and could hardly wait for the announcement to have seconds. The girls were truly impressed with the food, as they don't get to enjoy this kind of food as they wish. A huge thank you from the girls at Maryhurst and the Women's Network here at Mercer! We used The Catering Company for our wedding in April of 2017. We used them for a buffet dinner with plated salad and their bartending service. From the very beginning of the planning process they were very easy and eager to work with us. They were able to personalize a menu for us and make suggestions that ended up working perfectly for our wedding. Throughout the planning process we were able to constantly modify our contract as various aspects of our wedding kept changing. TCC also went above and beyond to accommodate members of the wedding party with food allergies. The food ended up being great, some of the best wedding food I have ever tasted. We used Michaelis Events for the catering at our November 2017 wedding. Becky was so easy going, set us up for multiple tastings until we were completely satisfied, and an all around pleasure to work with. The food at our reception continues to be complimented. There are not enough great things to say about The Catering Company/Michaelis events. They did a fantastic job with our wedding day, April 28th, 2018 at The Pointe. Not only are they extremely organized, detail oriented, and accommodating - the food on our wedding day was absolutely delicious! We have received so many compliments about both our appetizers and our main meal. Our point person for our wedding was Lauren Brown and unfortunately the night of our wedding she was sick and unable to attend, but honestly you would have never known because the staff did not miss a beat. The Catering Company also saved us from a potential disaster. We had a lot of beer drinkers at our reception and about ran out of beer before the reception fully got started. Someone behind the bar noticed this immediately and was able to let my parents know timely so more beer could be bought before we ran out. Not a single guest noticed! Also, we had 2 vegetarians attend the wedding that we specially ordered fish for, not only did the catering company deliver this, they knew exactly what table these guests were at and were able to deliver the fish just as they were getting ready to approach our buffet line - super impressive! With it being my wedding day, it was mostly a blur but my mother and sister had so many great things to say about The Catering Company and its staff, mentioning several times how professional and helpful everyone was throughout the entire night.
