I purchased the 6 layer cake and it was the best cake I have every eaten.The chocolate is not to strong and blends decadent with the yellow cake. I LOVE Michaela's! This shop did EVERY cake for EVERY event I have thrown. The whole staff is wonderful and truly talented and GREAT at what they do! ! But it seems that she often closes her shop for long periods of time without notice! In April I needed a cake for my son & couldn't get in contact with the shop at all... I asked one of the neighboring business owners if they knew when the shop would re-open and they said it had already been closed for weeks. So I had to settle for a Kroger Cake lol. More...

I must say I’m highly impressed! Most people would be willing to settle for quantity or quality but I differ from most. So, I go to the Croaker Spot often for the cake, which is always moist and delicious. I love the chocolate,lemon, pineapple,and strawberry. So, I was surprised to learn today that the cakes come from Michaela's Quality Bakery. I will definitely come by and see what other treats they have. Love, love, love your cakes. After moving to Richmond, I was thrilled to find a local bakery in my neighborhood! On my first visit, I purchased sampler of several different small baked goods. The cakes, pies, cookies were are all fresh, moist, and well-executed. I was pleased and vowed to return. Each subsequent visit has been just as consistent and just as tasty. They really have a good thing going here! There is one more thing I must mention. I've eaten desserts all over the world, from Michelin Star restaurants down to hole-in-the-joints I won't admit to visiting. Of all the places I can remember, Michaela's has the absolute best plain cheesecake. It is silky, light, and has the perfect level of sweetness. You can buy it by the slice or whole, either way you will come back for more. I've gone for cheesecake so much they recognize me now.
