Whilst this review is a little late, we wanted to take this opportunity to share what fantastic service we received through Smith & Co for both our recent house sale and property purchase. From the very beginning we felt secure in our decision to use Smith & Co and found both Jenny Dawson and Jenny Maltby to be knowledgable, professional and efficient, and with this being our first time going through a property sale we felt reassured and supported. We were kept fully informed throughout the entire process of our sale and our purchase - we were able to track the progress via their app and received regular status updates as to where we were in the process and what the next steps and timelines would be. First class communication and service from anybody we dealt with and we would absolutely recommend them to others! If the need arises then I have no doubt that we would use them again in the future! I’m very disappointed with the level of service provided by Smith & Co. We were asked to complete the same documentation on numerous occasions, contacted via post which delayed the process and were not kept up to date with how our sales documentation was progressing. We have now used Smith & CO’s conveyancing service twice and cannot recommend them highly enough (as another reviewer has said - we would give 6 stars out of 5 if we could! ). DO NOT USE THESE SOLICITORS.I am in the process of selling a property in Ipswich to a willing buyer who is using Michael Smith & Co. Following telephone reminders from both my solicitor and the estate agent my solicitor received an email on 16th October from Michael Smith which read "Thank you for your letters of 19th and 25th September. We shall now review the documents and revert to you shortly with our enquiries." So only after reminders and at least 21 days have they decided that they might deal with the matter "shortly". Its a disgrace. My solicitor Rachel Watson at Birketts takes more like 21 minutes to respond.Chose your solicitor carefully but do not chose Michael Smith & Co. More...

After choosing another solicitor initially, who let me down. I was directed to go to Michael smith and co. Was very apprehensive and didn't know what to expect.
