We had Chef Michael in our home to prepare a 5-course dinner for us and our guests and amazing is an understatement. From his arrival to departure, all we had to do is sit back, relax, eat incredible food and enjoy our company. Michael is professional, courteous and an excellent chef who left us wanting more of his creations. So, he’s booked in for the new year. It is a pleasure to review Chef Michael. He came to our house and prepared a superb dinner for 8. We chose from the new spring menu - Crab Cakes, Halibut and a rhubarb dessert. Every course was picture perfect, a treat for the eye and stomach. His use of seasonings was amazing including the lavender in his mouth popping sorbet. He happily interacted with our guests, served and explained his creations in a cheerful and confident manner.He brought with him everything he needed for the dinner and left the kitchen spotless.It is wonderful to have this young and talented person in Ottawa. Enjoyed a spectacular 5-course meal by chef Michael for a birthday party with our friends, and the whole experience was absolutely outstanding. 100% would do this again in a heartbeat! Lots of conversation around the table about which course was our favorite, and no way to narrow it down! Michael works with in-season, fresh ingredients, and knows how to create dishes that let the natural flavors shine while also combining elements in new, original ways that made each dish unique. What a treat!! Enjoyed a wonderful 5-course meal by chef Michael and looking forward to hiring him again for a special event. The scallop dish was my favorite – melt in the mouth and seared to perfection with a great fennel pairing. The beet salad was a fun dish to eat as each bite brought out different emphasis on the toasted walnut and smoked sea salt. The chicken main dish was delicious and just the right portion size. By the time we go to desert I would normally worry about being full but the rice pudding and fresh tasting chai tea ice cream (homemade – goodness!!) was a great way to finish and I loved every bite.
