Michael is absolutely fabulous - we can’t recommend him enough. He made everything about our wedding photography easy and stress free - from the initial phone call to the final link to our wonderful pictures. We are not local to Crathorne Hall where we had our wedding so I depended on Michael and his local knowledge- he liaised with the hotel and made sure everything was in place. On the day he was a pleasure to have around and he made sure that we got the photos of the various family groups that we wanted - it was a lovely, fun part of the day. Michael photographed our wedding back in August and what an amazing job he did! We booked Michael because of the experience he has and that is so evident in our beautiful photos. We had a pre wedding photo shoot and took the dog along, Michael captured some lovely photos of our beloved pet that we now have forever. He then asked us what photos were important for us on the day, there were a few formal ones we wanted but we mostly wanted it to be candid shots. We received these and more! Every time I look through the photos I find a new one I love, Michael captured moments I didn’t even realise were happening. Lots of our guests commented on how amazing the photographer was, moving around like a ninja! Michael is also the loveliest guy which puts everyone at ease, he even managed some beautiful photos of a stubborn 2 year old flower girl! We cannot recommend Michael Cartwright Photography highly enough. We booked Michael pretty quickly as we soon realised how professional and knowledgeable he was, particularly about our venue at Whinstone View. We also felt very relaxed around Michael as he is genuinely a really nice guy, which makes such a difference when you are sharing your most special day with him! From start to finish, Michael took amazing candid shots, exactly like we had asked and captured our day perfectly. He (of course) had an eye for good light and even though he had not visited the church we got married in, found a great spot for photos at the top of the church which look beautiful. So many of our guests have since commented on how great he was - not at all intrusive with many commenting that they didn't realise he was there! We also received our photos within a month, an added bonus just as the wedding blues had started to kick in! From the day we first met with Michael to discuss photography for our wedding, we knew he was the right person for the job. After seeing some of his work we really liked how Michael was able to capture all of the day, including things that you might have missed if you are a busy bride and groom. Michael is an absolute professional. Our pre-wedding shoot really helped us to feel at ease with how he worked and produced lots of lovely photos too. He talked at length with us about how the day would work and where he could get specific pictures. Michael’s experience meant he knew what was going to happen before we did! His style of photography is really beautiful, capturing candid, honest moments where people look relaxed and at ease. Michael is never ‘in your face’ yet is always present - some of the photos he took we hadn’t realised he was even there! We had a list of family pictures we wanted to take, Michael organised this and ensured that despite the day being hectic that these were taken. Michael is an amazing photographer! As soon as i booked our wedding i knew from others recommendations that i wanted him as our photographer! He is non intrusive, friendly, patient (even with my niece who literally followed him around all day) and has a great eye for detail. He goes above and beyond and i am so pleased with my photos. He even drove us to locations to allow us to get some fantastic shots (roseberry topping in background). The after service is fab too! Michael photographed our wedding recently after a recommendation from our friends & what an amazing job he done.
I am honestly overwhelmed at our photos & album design. Michael captured the day perfectly & it certainly shows in the end results.
From enquiring to booking Michael to shoot our wedding, I knew we had made the perfect choice.
