I ordered my dress from Mia Sposa, and had really great help from Suzanne and Ronnie. Suzanne helped me try on multiple dresses and was so lovely in my initial consultation. On my second appointment when I came to order the dress she was just as helpful and lovely, she really cared and made me feel so comfortable and excited. Also Ronnie was super helpful via email answering lots of questions I had about alterations and various other things, he was always so quick to reply and made my decision to come back to purchase my dress an easy one! I visited Mia Sposa today with my mum and a long term family friend and at 46 years old, and being my first ever wedding dress experience, I was extremely nervous! I needn't have been. From the moment I walked in, I was put completely at ease. The staff were warm and friendly and extremely encouraging. I was able to discuss the style I liked and then chose a selection of dresses to try. I selected around 7 dresses and was able to try them all on, along with another dress selected by the consultant. I was never rushed, my family were well looked after and I was allowed to take photos of the dresses to compare styles. I found it tricky to find a dress within three months coming from overseas (Dubai). I had contacted every bridal shop imaginable in London. I tried on 8/9 gowns and easily found the one in Mia Sposa as they have a large selection. Katrina is an excellent seamstress doing over 5 alterations to the chosen dress making a size 16 into a 12 around the waistline, adding hidden shoulder straps for extra support, 3 inches off the bottom then reattaching all the embellishments. I went to this bridal boutique as I was recommended by a friend. As soon as I entered, Suzanne was friendly and welcoming. She was very good at advising what shape dress was right for me. After trying on 2 dresses she picked out a dress which I fell in love with and I decided to get it (at a very reasonable price!). My next appointment was with Katrina who took my measurements, and was extremely professional and good at what she does. I also had the pleasure of dealing with Sue and Elliot who were really friendly and made me feel welcome at their store. In conclusion, I highly recommend this place! The staff know what they're talking about and the selection of dresses and veils are stunning! The staff are friendly and efficient and the prices are very reasonable. After a long hunt for my wedding dress, I finally found the one! I am so grateful to Mia Sposa - the selection of dresses was broad, they had lots of dresses on sale too and they were more than happy for you to look through them and try them on as well. Suzanne, who helped me, is SO knowledgeable. She was the only one who suggested a hoop so I can keep cool on the day and its absolutely the right decision. Nothing was too much trouble for her - either finding a different type of veil, or hoop or even re-trying a dress or looking at how to do alterations. Excellent customer service! The staff are very experienced and picked out great dresses that would suit my body shape. I did not end up buying my dress from here in the end but hands down had the best experience compared to all the other bridal shops I went to. I can't thank you enough for providing me with my beautiful wedding dress and only weeks before the wedding. Allowing me to pick my perfect dress of the rail and Angela doing her magic to make it fit me. I had an excellent experience throughout the process at Mia Sposa, from picking my dress to the alterations and collection. I was initially skeptical and worried due to the negative reviews online. There is some truth to the reviews, it ultimately all boils down to who within the shop you work with. I consider myself lucky: Sue was allocated to work with me when I came in to pick dresses. I had pre-picked some designs from their website but none of them were right.Sue listened to what I liked/disliked about each dress I tried on and picked others for me, we went up to around 7 different dresses. In the end she had me try on a dress I hadn't considered and I had the "this is the one!" moment. Sue's warm smile and mannerisms made me feel like she was a close family member!When it came to the alterations, I was lucky enough to work with Angela who extremely attentive, light hearted and patient which meant that i didn't feel shy about asking for exactly what I wanted, tweaking the dress three times.I say that's there is some truth to the negative reviews because I witnessed poor service behaviours from some of the other staff members. Whilst another girl was picking dresses for trying on, I saw a staff member snapped "no, you can only pick out 5, maximum". On another occasion, another staff member was allocated to help me put my dress on for a fitting, and she had done so without care, forgetting to clip some internal straps together, which Angela then had to fix because she saw that the dress was looking "off" when she was measuring me.All in all, Sue and Angela, as well as the gentleman manager of the shop were sweethearts and made the experience a lot of fun and stress-free. I look back and think that if i was working with another person in the shop, i would have immediately left, having to restart my search elsewhere.If a friend asks me if they should visit Mia Sposa, I would highly recommend it but with the stern recommendation that they should ask for Sue and for Angela for the alterations. I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience at Mia Sposa. The staff are experienced and have a good eye and great manner. I felt completely at ease, and under no pressure whatsoever, and they helped me to pick out a dress which came in way under budget, and still suited me much better than the ones I had picked out! The shop is low key, understated - no bells or bubbles! But that suited me to a tee. All went according to plan, appointments were timely, and they were flexible when I requested a diary change. When I picked up my dress the tailor in the gents section on the entrance level of the shop wished me a wondeful wedding day as I was leaving, I stopped to admire some waistcoats, and he offered totally impartial advice on the outfit I was still mentally preparing for hubby to wear as our wedding was in a hot location. I won’t lie, I am not a person who is necessarily looking into reviews before visiting a shop, I simply researched vintage and boho style wedding dressed prior to visiting this shop and had put it on my list of four bridal boutiques as last shop to go to. We had two days of dress shopping, including Pronovias and other well known brands. I had found a few nice ones but not MY dress yet. I have to say, I have also not found MY dress at first at Mia Sposa and was on the way out to plan another day. It was when my mom and sister already had stepped out and I saw a dress looking back to the shop, it wasn't particularly my style, having see through straps with tattoo lace fabric, which I did not want. I tried it on and yes, whilst I liked the actual dress, I hated the see through fabric which hold up the lace and made a deep cut out back possible. I was then amazed by what happened next. My seamstress and the manager were so open to my questions and whilst first having their reservations of changing the style of a dress so drastically, my vision was taken on board and I was promised the dress could be changed to my liking. Well- let’s say I like to take risks. I bought the dress, not liking it to 100% and under the condition to change the design according to our discussions. Months later I came back to my first fitting, I didn't like it- but only because obviously it wasn't changed yet. Measurements were taken, I was asked to come back 10 days later. I came back in - tried the dress on - wow - I wasn't promised anything less than I expected. The straps were cut of, a shoestring replaced the ugly fabric and the lace flower petals cut off were applied by hand one by one to make it invisible. My dream dress was born and further fitted throughout the weeks coming. I was due to pick up my dress in the morning the day before my wedding. Nightmare- I had lost so much weight in 10 days that it was probably around 2cm each side too wide. The seamstress team was amazing and luckily they agreed to take it in within the day and I picked it up at 5pm at which point it was perfect. I would like to thank the entire team and can only recommend the service and passion going into it. I had a very positive experience here. The sales woman Sue, was incredibly patient, understood what I wanted and was really helpful in trying to get me the best for my budget. She went out of her way to try to find things that suited my style and my wallet and I ended up buying my dream dress there.
