Josh and Anna did a magnificent job capturing our wedding! Their confidence and ability to direct photos throughout the day meant less time taking family photos etc, and more time interacting with our guests! Leading up to our wedding in Santa Barbara, we talked multiple times to plan all the small details which we really appreciated! The team at Mi Belle was absolutely amazing! I wanted to make sure we captured not just all the candid moments of the wedding, but also all of the portraits.
Our family is very big and quite complicated and Josh spent an hour on the phone with me going over all the details of every shot making sure we had everyone listed for a photograph.
The day-of, Maria and Nick were GREAT! They made sure everyone was comfortable and kept us smiling the whole time. Maria also had an amazing attention to detail and made sure to pose everyone in the best way possible.
While the bohemian-edited style photos are beautiful, they are not totally my vibe. I wanted photos that were clean and crisp and that is exactly what Mi Belle delivered.
We got our sneak peek photos within a week and I am already obsessed and can’t wait to see the full album!

We used Mi Belle Photographers for my daughter's wedding and they were absolutely fantastic!! They truly captured all of the love and joy of the day and were so patient and talented! Weddings can be very chaotic - especially when you are trying coral family and friends for portrait photos before and immediately after the ceremony - and they were just great! Starting with Josh, from our initial conversation with him, we knew he was going to be the photographer we were looking for. He got to know us as a couple to determine what vision we had in mind. His goal was just to make sure we had the most perfect day and the photos to go along with that. In the days leading up to the wedding, we went through the shot list extensively and he made sure we had on every single shot we wanted. He gave us advice for what to do day of and talked us off a couple ledges. With his expertise and our vision we were able to fly through photos and still have the best time. We were paired with Maria as our photographer for both our engagement shoot and wedding day. Maria was incredible and easy to work with. We shared our engagement ideas with her and she scouted the location for the best time of day. She always made sure she had the perfect shot and that we would have the most beautiful image in the end. Her photos are unique and spectacular. Being able to work with her before the wedding day helped so much. We learned how she worked and she found our best angles. For both our engagement shoot and wedding day shoot, she helped me deal with my fear of heights to get the perfect sunset photos and I am forever grateful for that. Alicia, the second shooter at our wedding, was a fantastic member to the team. She captured beautiful images and kept the shot list in order, making sure all members were in those always fun family photos. My husband and I hired MiBelle for our engagement session and wedding day and could not have been happier with either experience. They offer several package options and were generous with their time talking through which option was best for us. Ultimately, we chose the package that included Josh (one of the owners) for our engagement session, and he brought an assistant for our wedding day (Nick) who was above our expectations. It's tough to sum up how thankful we are in a short(ish) review, but the entire experience working with MiBelle from start to finish was a dream and we were so happy we decided to add on the engagement photo session to have the opportunity to meet Josh before our wedding and understand how he works. He is a pro - I (wife) was so nervous about looking awkward and/or posing weird but Josh creates a seamless experience directing along the way and capturing those amazing candids as well. He was an absolute trooper as we scheduled the engagement session on an insanely windy day in Palm Springs (although I'm sure he's used to it), and worked with the wind to give us an unbelievable set of photos. As we approached our wedding day Josh sat on the phone with us as we meticulously curated the photo list. Again he was patient, reassuring and gave us confidence going in to the wedding day. On the actual day, he was prompt, professional, brought an outstanding assistant (Nick, mentioned above), and went to work delivering what he promised. We were never rushed, it was a natural, intimate experience that I felt really lucky to have found in a photographer. We were expecting great photos because we had already seen the quality of the engagement shoot, but were in awe and shock of the amount of detail and personality Josh and Nick captured on our day. They delivered the digital album well within the time frame we were promised and we are confident that MiBelle was worth every penny. If you're trying to save money I would strongly recommend trying to budget elsewhere because the photos are what you will take with you and share with friends and family. I had heard horror stories of photos being lost, overblown shots, and unprofessional service and it's just not worth it on your day. Mi Belle are experts and artisans in their craft; they deliver great results and make what could be a very stressful process smooth and seamless. Josh, Maria and Nick took the time to get to know our priorities and needs, and even anticipated some—from family dynamics, to location assistance for shoots, to stylistic nuances we requested. They worked with us (and our busy schedule) to arrive at a great game plan for the Big Day. Our photography team was warm and patient, and well-versed in the emotions and unpredictability that makes up a wedding. Before, during and after, and all along the way, they took beautiful pictures, and framed shots to bring out the best in us and our guests. I considered 25+ photographers for my wedding @ Pebble Beach based on recommendations from reputable places and/or word of mouth and Mi Belle was the only photographer that we considered outside of the Bay Area. I chose Mi Belle for 2 reasons: 1) the beautiful portfolio of pictures - classic, made people look good, beautiful scenes, captured the right tone/sentiment, and 2) the conversations that I had with Josh that made me feel I could trust Mi Belle to capture my special day. Josh, Maria and the team were more than we could have asked for. They were extremely well prepared, gave the right amount of direction, and the right amount of flexibility. The images came out great! Josh and his assistant Nick shot our wedding a few weeks ago, and I am beyond satisfied (in better terms THRILLED), with how our photos turned out. They are everything we could have dreamed of! I think Mi Belle's photos speak for themselves and highly encourage any reader to check their website or contact them for access to an example album. Photos can be such a subjective/personal choice it's important that you review albums to see if your aesthetic aligns with a photographers'. That being said, we absolutely loved the quality of our photos and chose Mi Belle because we appreciated their aesthetic (especially their way of capturing natural beauty/surroundings) and we just wanted ease of mind on the day of our wedding. We were very happy our photos but I also want to mention their service as a really strong reason to invest in them.From the initial quote process, Josh was very responsive and gave us access to example albums which helped us feel comfortable with the lead photographer we ended up selecting for our Wedding on 9/9/17. Have you planned wedding? Because before I did I had NO IDEA how long it took most wedding vendors to respond to emails (um kinda frustrating but I get it. they get requests for quotes and then never hear from half their inquiries again i'm sure). But I was very happy with Josh's response time and the thoroughness of his responses (no beating around the bush. He answered all our questions very transparently). Can't stress enough we signed w/ Mi Belle b/c we appreciated Josh's customer service and we wanted quality photos.Then there was Maria, our photographer. She's part of their "collective" team. O.M.G. she's wonderful. Soft spoken but firm, within 10 minutes of meeting us at our engagement shoot, she immediately read/understood what kind of (shy) couple we were and took lead on directing us for photos. She was open to feedback, and made us feel very relaxed. On top of getting beautiful engagement pictures for our website and wedding venue decor, it was just so great to actually enjoy the experience of taking photos w/ Maria. It felt so special to have that time together as a couple and to think back on it fondly with our lovely pictures.Our wedding day was an action packed one and a bit stressful but Maria took it in stride. We had a long list of photos to take (with important family members) and Maria and her assistant Anna tackled it methodically yet flexibly (lots of people to corral!). Her grace under pressure was much appreciated and gave us one less thing to worry about on the best day of our lives. When I was researching wedding venues, I kept coming across photos with an awesome and unique style that I loved. Every time I looked to see who the photographer was, the name Mi Belle came up. When we finally picked Ojai Valley Inn for our wedding venue, I was so excited to see that Mi Belle is on their list of preferred vendors. I called immediately and lined them up for the big day. Josh was super helpful with my millions of annoying questions, and we ultimately decided to go with Maria as our photographer. We did engagement photos with her beforehand, which was a great idea because not only did we get terrific engagement pics, we also got to know her better this way and felt 100% comfortable with her at our wedding. She is super cool, both my husband and I felt like she was an old friend. We got the pics back last week and they are beyond amazing. I cannot recommend Josh and his team more. They were beyond professional and so easy to work with. My husband and I were nervous about taking professional photos as we have not had much experience. We did not want to come out looking staged or awkward and we didn't. Our photos are one of my most favourite memory from our wedding. My husband Chris and I had the pleasure of working with Michelle and her team at MiBelle on our wedding day 5/31 at Rancho Las Lomas in Orange County. I've met Michelle and Josh before at my brother's wedding in 2011 at the Parker in Palm Springs and knew then how great they were. When I saw their photos I was blown away with their ability to capture such amazing little moments and at the same time big expansive shots that capture the location. Chris and I felt so comfortable working with them and loved how well they worked with our other vendors as well. I just received my family pictures from Mi Belle. I LOVE!!!!! I am in awe how they capture every single family members personality. Each year gets better and better. Josh made me feel really comfortable as I was feeling really overwhelmed the day of the wedding (i only had 2hrs. sleep the night before!). He took care of everything down to getting the bartender to get us a drink before we walked down the isle. I love the pictures they took, they have a unique style that I really, really like. Michelle and Josh were incredibly personable and upfront with us. We just loved their business philosophy, and felt like we'd be in good (and trustworthy! ) hands with them, which was such a comforting feeling after meeting with some pretty sleazy photographers.Jessica and Maria did a wonderful job with our photos, and we got quite a few fabulous shots. I just wanted 3 or 4 stunners to frame, but there are so many beautiful ones that I can't choose! The only complaints we had were our own fault (forgetting to request certain shots, poor lighting for the ceremony because of an unexpected hold up).Our album was completed about 4 months after we placed the order, which I was personally fine with (wasn't really in a rush), but some people may be less patient. I was a bit disappointed that they ignored our request for the sequence of pictures in the album, but again, I didn't care all that much (though some people would). Another slight disappointment was that they didn't offer to ship the proofs and, later, album to us for free, which they can't necessarily be *expected* to do, but it would have been a nice touch.
