I was really happy with the service and professionalism of Colin (MHR)
I had completely mis-measured my kitchen and Colin kindly measured up and even took me to the store to order the materials .
He made a excellent job of fitting my units and saved me a considerable amount of money.
I had obtained multiple quotes and Colin was the most competitive and he completed the job to a very high standard

Painting & Decoration - Interior
Team has agreed for painting and fitting a door frame for £450. They promised to do 3 days of work. They insisted me to pay whole amount on day 1.
I paid before they started the work. they did work for one and half day and completed painting. There are many pain marks on the floor and they said they will clear it the next day. But they didn't turnover the other day. Loss due to this is the tenancy charged me for deep cleaning worth £237 as paint marks and £87 for not fitting the door frame. These are the major stuff. I don't want to discuss on any other minor items which costed me £200 odd more. All I'm concerned is that 1. they didn't take care of the floors when they painted 2. they didn't complete the work they promised 3. insisted to pay complete amount before they started the work If you go with these guys, please be ware that you pay 50% before they start work and rest after completing the work. Also, please review personally and please be present when work is going on. You can't rely on these people

I consider your review to be completely misleading and some of the points untrue. I provided you with a quote for £450 which was to emulsion your walls and ceiling being 2 bedrooms, one living room, hallway and a bathroom. The quotation did include all paint which you fail to mention. In addition, you asked me if I could try to fix the internal doors as they were badly damaged. I knew you were moving out of the property however you failed to volunteer to me that you were moving back to India. It was at this point I decided to ask for payment in advance. I had never done that before but as you were vague about how and who would pay I felt it prudent to do so. You introduced me to your “friend” but offered no name or address. We agreed I would start the job on the Sunday at 1pm as you needed the job finished by the Tuesday evening. You agreed that you would have vacated the property my 1pm. This did not happen, we arrived to find the property in the most disgusting state and your family still there. You finally left about 5pm. Painting the flat was challenging the walls were covered in grease and dirt, and most had drawings and scribble on them. The flat was filthy and therefore my partner had to do a considerable amount of cleaning before I could even begin painting. Even the internal doors and gloss work was covered in scribble. You made no effort whatsoever to make the property fit for the job to be carried out. I admit there may have been a small amount of paint splatters however as you know I used dust sheets as you were still in the property when I put them down. You had reassured me you had booked cleaners for a deep clean and therefore as the paint was water-based emulsion if there had of been splatters they would have been easily removed. As I mention above you asked me to TRY to make the doors better. I did try to sand out the marks but in most cases they were already down through the laminate into the chipboard. They were beyond repair and need replacing. The front door had a big hole in it!!! In hindsight I should have walked off site when you failed to vacate and when I saw the poor cleanliness of the property, however I knew you were up against the clock, so I stayed and worked. It is my opinion that you incurred additional charge because of the poor condition of the property and the damage you had made during your tenancy,

Most professional handy-person team we've ever hired. Our task wasn't an easy one but they worked in extreme weather conditions to competently complete the job in record time and without compromise on quality. Will definitely hire again. Thank you so much! More...
