What do you love most about your job?
I love the "penny drop" moment when I can see that I have helped someone find the answer to a problem or challenge they have. I get a great deal of satisfaction when clients leave with a clear plan about what they are going to do next. When I have the opportunity to find out the outcome of the actions I have helped people plan it is even better.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The problem with getting promoted is that you can stop doing the things that you love and take on an organising role instead. I love helping people to find solutions to their challenges through coaching, working with teams and running workshop but found as a senior manager I didn't get much chance to do that. I set up Metaphor Development to give the the opportunity to do what I love.
Why should our clients choose you?
I start with the client, getting a clear understanding of their needs. I will then create something bespoke the them using tools and techniques that are tried and tested. If I'm not confident that I can deliver what the client needs I won't pretend and muddle through. I would rather help them find the right person to help them.
I have over 25 years experience working in learning and development roles with household names. I have worked as a coach for a number of years and have a PG Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring and and ILM Level 7 in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.
