Merry Acres Inn & Event Center

I'm a driver and have stayed at over 20 different middle budget hotels all over the country in the past month. This was one of the best I've stayed in as far as: cleanliness, friendliness of staff, and comfort of bed. Pretty cool place

The Manor House Pub is a great place to relax and catch up with friends. Joel and Allen, the bartenders, make you feel like a part of the family and are quick with service. The Manor Hous Pub menu is pub food such as sandwiches and salads, but you can also order from Harvest Moon, The Catch and Henry Campbell's steakhouse and have it delivered to the pub. The hotel is clean and the employees are very nice. However, I think the rates are too high for what is offered. Our room was clean but a little outdated. Also, the towels are not high quality. The breakfast bar is just okay. I actually would consider staying there again ONLY if the rates were lower. Or perhaps the owner will consider upgrading to higher quality towels that are more absorbent. And update the bathrooms in the rooms. More...

I would definitely recommend Merry Acres for anyone traveling from out of town! We instantly fell in love with its southern charm. The rooms are nice and very clean. The hot breakfast buffet was an added bonus. The Merry Acres staff were so sweet and very accommodating.
