Our long time friend brought us to Merone's for our first visit last night. This was a great experience and the owners and the staff really treat you like family. Call Merones if you ever need a caterer! Clare helped me out enormously when I had to arrange a wedding rehearsal dinner for my son when I was out of the country and out of state. She had helpful suggestions for venues and worked hard to find less expensive options when possible. Best of all, the food was amazing and I received many, many compliments. I haven't had any complaints yet! Absolutely love their cheesesteaks subs and pizza is not bad what so ever. I've never had anything delivered cause of the construction on 606, but a 15 minute round trip is better then having to wait for your food.

After giving up dairy, I was thrilled to find out that the garlic knots were still suitable and, man, they were delicious! Amazing!!! A hidden gem. Foods delicious and quick. Nice, polite service. If you actually go there, the restaurant is clean and large. The food is truly amazing - tons of choices, always fresh and a great value. If you get more than a couple toppings on your pizza suggest getting it well done so the crust holds up the generous toppings.

This is my go to spot for my work lunch! The lunch deals are great and the portions are even better! I usually get the lunch spaghetti with meat sauce which comes with a small side salad and 3 little rolls. I've never been able to finish it since portions are big but I always either eat it for dinner or save it for tomorrow's lunch. Prices are affordable which makes the place that much better! More...

I'm Italian - and our whole family is from NY and elders are off-the-boat - so I'm already cursed when it comes to finding great pizza/pasta throughout the country. I grew up on family recipes and authentic/traditional fresh and full meals (7+ courses). Let me just tell you that I live in Cali, now, and I miss Merone's & Buon Appetito with my whole being haha I seriously haven't found ONE ristorante/pizzeria out here that even comes close in quantity, authenticity, quality and VALUE. It's so sad/disappointing. I haven't lived in Northern VA for years but my folks still reside. So EVERY TIME I'm home, visiting them, I make it a point to go to Merone's and have a quiet dinner with them and my children. They've catered our parties, delivered dinner to our home, we've eaten in both establishments and we are still tried and true to their business. Their family has truly become like family to ours. They welcome anyone/everyone into their establishment with loving arms and they will give you the shirt off their back, if they can. Great people, delicious food and a relaxing eat-in experience. I honestly can't even recommend a particular dish b/c every one I've ever had there has been good. My typical go-to? Papa salad and some ziti w a fresh glass of chianti - followed by a cappuccino!!!! My wife, mother-in-law, and a few friends stopped by here for dinner two weekends ago.  It's in the middle of an office park but its totally worth coming to. The food is good and portions, befitting an Italian place, are generous. We had the Veal, some seafood dishes and calamari appetizer.  One of the nicest touches of the evening was when I got a bottle of crodino (an Italian aperitif) one of the staff "want a glass w/ ice and lemon." Nice touch as that is how one is supposed to enjoy it.The staff were incredibly friendly and I ended out talking to the owner,Giuseppe, for awhile. He's got that great came fro Italy as a youngster and then worked hard and got ahead in the US.  It was one of the nicest chats I've ever had with a business owner.  I highly recommend coming here. I found Buon Apetito on yelp a few months ago and the reviews are correct- the food is outstanding. The sicilian pizza tastes like my Italian home town pizza. The pasta dishes are huge and obviously prepared fresh. They give very generous servings of meat, and the dinner rolls are to die for. Delivery sometimes takes a while but it's worth the wait. I love coming here every time I am in DC area. The food is amazing and I always have more for dinner and lunch the next day! The staff is beyond helpful and exceptionally friendly. My friend called them and asked to have a bday cake made for me because we were working on my bday. They went out of their way to make it special and even find the colors of decorations my friend asked for. I love this place, the food, and most importantly the people. My husband and I just ate here for dinner. Food was good and place was clean, friendly and casual. Basic hole in the wall Italian restaurant. We shared the chicken parm and they were nice to separate it for us. It was more than enough so we brought  a doggie bag home. Salad dressing was delicious as reviews stated. We recently moved to Loudoun and we're looking for a new Italian restaurant, specifically meatballs. We came across Merone's in Yelp and have found our new love. They are a restaurant/catering company and located in a "business park", so if you don't know it's back there...you'd never just come across it. We came here with my fiance's sister and boyfriend, who didn't really specify that it wasn't a fancy sit down-style restaurant. .so we came in all dressed up and were extremely shocked and weary that it was just a little pizza place. They kept insisting it was worth it while laughing at us so we tried to keep an open mind. I really liked it! I got lobster ravioli and it was the best I've had so far. The portions are huge as they should be. My fiance got chicken parm that they loved. Even though I'm Italian, I cannot stand typical Italian style pasta dishes because it's so standard and I didn't find it particularly good but I guess thats just me being picky, because both boys INHALED their food. Like I said, the portions are huge so that was an incredible feat. The salads they gave us came with a house made balsamic dressing that was absolutely delicious. I absolutely love Merone's. I come here at least once or twice a week for lunch and have not had a bad experience yet. The owners are all very nice, you can definitely tell it is a family run business and they treat us like we are guests in their home every time we come. The lunch specials are awesome. I go with my boyfriend and we get a lunch special to share and it is more than enough food for both of us. The pizza is amazing as well, and is the reason we started coming here on a regular basis. It's honestly the best that I have had in sterling so far. I would recommend Merone's to anyone. The only thing to keep in mind is that it gets very busy at lunch and seating might be a problem if you come with a large group seeing as how the tables are somewhat close together and there isn't a lot of tables to begin with (I think there's 6 total?). SOUTH RIDING residents... You need to buy your pizza and Italian food from here! They deliver to South Riding but I always end up getting Carry out. This restaurant is the same owner as the Buon Appetito in Chantilly (next to Babies R Us). Location: 606, just past Arby's and McDonalds.. in the office park. Food I love: - Pizza: New York Style. It's really good pizza, not the best by any means but the BEST for this area. The ingredients are fresh and of high qualify.- Salad: House Salad is amazing! Well, i recently took on a new job and with that comes a whole new area with the opportunity to try new places out. Near my job is Subway, Mc D's, Arby's and not much else. So i pull out my android and pull Yelp up. One of the first results is Merone's. Let me first let you all know that i am not italian, so i couldn't tell you whats authentic and whats not. What i can tell you is that i know what tastes good and thats what i will share with you all.At first glance, 4 stars got my attention right away. Lunch time arrives and i jump in my car to check this place out. Let me say, the 4 stars is well deserved. I am at 4 stars myself. I ordered the Chicken Parm sub. I'm a bigger guy so the portions have got to be good. I would say i was able to destroy this thing and not be hungry afterwards. The bread, meat, sauce was all good. I didn't expierience any real soggyness like others have noted. The bread had that nice balance between a toasted crunch and the smooth soft insides. The meat was pretty thick and very tasty. Also, As always with any italian place, i always order a slice of the pizza. Didn't blow my mind, wasn't horrible. It was decent. I would definitely order it again.So all in all, Yelp saves the day again and points something great in my direction. If your in the area, hungry, and looking for somewhere to eat. A bunch of people from the office eat here on the reg and after months of seeing it brought back to the lunch room, I had to stop in and see what the fuss was all about. What the hell was I waiting for? I wish I had known how good  this place was months ago so I wouldn't have had to eat Subway or Arby's across the street so many times!As an Italian, I judge the crap out of Italian food. Nobody seems to do it right. HOWEVER-- Merone's is on point. I had the baked ziti lunch special with minestrone soup which also came with their rolls-- incredible. Pasta  was cooked al dente, the rolls were delish and the soup was homemade. I really love this place!They also cater as well-- you can get all kinds of sandwich platters made up for an event. This is owned by the same family that owns Buon Appetito in Chantilly and serves essentially the same food, though this is their catering facility.  It does have a small seating area.The food is simply outstanding, easily the best pizza in northern virginia (I'm a new yorker, I know pizza).  We've tried at least 20 different menu items and have never been disappointed.  Prices are reasonable, and the owners are extremely friendly.  I can't say enough great things about this place except for the fact that you won't find it unless you know what you are looking for (it's tucked back in an office park).  Still, the last few times I've come here to pick up dinner it has been busy. My new favorite lunch spot when at work.All of my co-workers were talking about this place for a long time and I finally decided to try it.  Amazing.  I was already impressed on my first visit and I overheard the owners in the back speaking Italian.  That is always a good sign.  Their pizza is now definitely in my top five, and I eat a LOT of pizza folks.  NY Italian style pizza and the toppings are fresh and delicious and the crust is thin, crispy, and amazing.  To the other reviewer, the toppings will slide off of any pizza if you pick it up incorrectly and it is piping hot.  The chicken parm sub was served on fresh baked bread with their delicious marinara sauce.  The chicken was perfectly cooked.  The Italian owners are constantly there making sure everything is perfect and they will chat it up with you if you are standing at the counter.  If you are not, they are walking around and asking how your food is.  The establishment is very clean and nicely decorated for a deli type place.  Don't be concerned when you see that they have a food factory in the back, they do catering for flights out of Dulles which is literally right behind the restaurant.    It isn't hard to find at all (like the other girl said) unless you don't map it out or you are directionally challenged.  Go to the first stop sign, take a left.  That is it.  Try it out, you won't be disappointed!
