Marina is just great. have been a client of hers for over 20 years now. Years go by with no need to see her, and whenever I do she just puts me back together for years to come.

Marina has looked after me for 17 years now. Without her Osteopathy, & advice, I would be un-able to work. I have Fibromyalgia, & a fused spine, & other health issues. Thanks to Marina, I can stand up straight, & work as a gardener. To look at me, you wouldn't know I have any health problems. I cannot thank Marina & Meridian Osteopaths enough. Rachel More...

Yesterday I woke up with crippling back pain. I couldn't turn my head or lift my arms and the tiniest movement was sheer agony. I had to cancel my day at work and assumed I'd be useless for the rest of the week. Today I returned to work and this evening I am completely back to normal without even the slightest twinge. Many Thanks Marina - you are a miracle worker. More...

I have suffered from back pain for a number of years and in that time I have seen numerous chiropractors & osteopaths with various results. I have now been treated by Rachael Pereira for a few years now and I can not rate her highly enough. When I have had so much pain where I can hardly stand up she has gently released the pain in either one or at the most two seasons.I now see her once every four months for a general adjustment which keeps me free from pain but I know if I get any problems she’s only a phone call away.Meridian Osteopaths are a professional practice to visit and highly recommended them to everyone I know and meet Grahame Duff More...

Services

Osteopathy is a patient centred system of healthcare where Osteopaths try to "Find the Health" in each patient. They use their hands to work on the soft tissues and joints of the body to reduce tension, and affect the circulatory, nervous and endocrine systems. They help to reduce pain and stiffness, improve mobility, and restore health and balance.
HOW? Osteopaths are able to facilitate the body's natural ability to heal itself by using gentle stretching, mobilising and manipulation techniques; as well offering advice on exercises, hydrotherapy, posture, and lifestyle to maintain health and prevent problems recurring.

This therapy aims at helping athletes and amateur sports people to:

Recover faster from training and events
Reduce muscular tension, aches and pains
Eliminate soft tissue restrictions
Prevent / rehabilitate injuries
Address postural issues

Sports massage involves the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues such as tendons, muscles and ligaments. It works by restoring function, ease and mobility to your body. Sports massage treatments help you feel lighter and freer in your movement thus enhancing your sports performance.

Part of the treatment can also include advice on stretches, warming up and cooling down routines and remedial exercises.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage aims at reaching the deeper layers of soft tissues. This type of massage is ideal for releasing built up tension caused by everyday life stress and chronic occupational plus postural issues. It will leave you with a lasting feeling of energy and freedom.

Deep Tissue massage is particularly helpful when suffering from:

general muscular aches and pains
feeling of tightness in the body
headaches

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is ideal for the management of stress by promoting a sense of relaxed wellbeing. It stimulates the body’s lymphatic system and reduces muscle tiredness.
