Mere Brow Smithy is one of the best companies I have dealt with. Their quality of work and customer support are excellent. They even provided advice on how to save money before placing the order. The hardwood panels come treated too. I would recommend visiting their shop to get some ideas on their quality of work. If you like their work, I would also recommend to get an installation date soon as they are usually fully booked in for a few good weeks. More...

Highly recommend Mere Brow Smithy. We love our heavy quality metal gates. They matched the colour to our front door and added in an additional part to the hinge that improves security. We visited several smithies and none compare to Mere Brow Smithy in that Mere Brow was clean, tidy and organised with very helpful staff. Tom came out to measure up our requirements giving helpful hints as to what would be best. The week before were notified of the start date. The installation went well with no mess and it was noted that the wood had been held in position with stainless steel dome head screws as we requested. We are extremely impressed with the products and workmanship of Mere Brow Smithy, from the initial planning, to the completion of the work. We have had double drive gates fitted along with a garden gate. It was not an easy task as the drive gates had to be hinged in the centre and fitted at an angle in between existing stone pillars. I have used Merebrow Smithy for solid wood gates at 2 houses; also for fence railings. The team are friendly and listen to your needs. They advise what is best for your needs. Thorough measuring service, no matter what the weather is.The craftmanship is beautiful. One set of wooden gates are 8 years old, a quick wipe down and they still look as good as the day they were fitted.They were fitted without us being at home. No mess.
