well what can i say stay well away from these cowboys had a alarm fitted by them. it was great but went off when it wanted then after 2 years the batteries went dead so i phone a young lady and asked to sent a engineer to look at it 3 days later he came out and replace them and told me the bill was over 200 pounds for half a hour works charged 175 for a call out total bad not happy

Very disappointed with these guys. Anyone that lives near me will know how my alarm has gone off constantly for weeks, and beeped at us when we were home. When I called to ask someone to take a look, seemed my service was due so they promptly sent out an engineer. Great. Talked engineer through the fault, he checked everything, changed some batteries, told me all was good. We go on holiday and alarm annoys neighbours again, we get back, same fault, constant beeping, so I call Mercury again and they arrange to send out an engineer a week or so later. Engineer comes, tells me the connection to the phone line is poor, replaces everything he needs to, fault dealt with. I then get a bill for the second visit. I called mercury to explain I was unhappy about this for two reasons - 1) when I booked the second visit, they did not advise me it would be billed and 2) it was my expectation that, given the service engineer had in fact failed to solve the problem, this should be resolved by mercury. So, after a call to the office to discuss, they have agreed to waive the second invoice, rightly so, but told me that if I want my alarm serviced in the future, I'll have to go somewhere else. I've been using Mercury for several years now and they have been consistently very good at what they do at a fair price.
I've been happy to recommend them to friends as well and the feedback has always been really good.
We've recently had them install a whole new burglar alarm system which is fantastic and has some great features (I can control it from my phone). They also look after other systems for us and we've always been happy.

We had not had our alarm serviced since we moved in and had no real idea what state it was in, we then had a smart meter fitted which put our electrics off for a considerable amount of time which then threw the alarm system off and it stopped working altogether. Desperate to resolve it before our holiday we called Mercury as they were local and they had good reviews. We were so impressed as they came out the very next day arrived exactly on time, checked over the whole system, diagnosed the issues and resolved it promptly. Lewis our technician was extremely professional and friendly we couldn't ask for better service and our alarm is good as new for a very competitive price. The office staff were so helpful and arranged for an engineer to come out quickly (before the weekend) as I was concerned the alarm would either not set or go off.
The engineer very quickly located the problem and isolated the fault. He then went and got the part required and returned in the afternoon to fit it. This meant we had a worry free weekend - thank you!!
