1st wedding anniversary meal and glad we went. Our first visit and already booked to go back tomorrow. Husband had pate to start and I had a Greek salad and they were both delicious. I went for tuna steak and husband had seafood platter again excellent. Topped off the meal with a bottle of wine which was very nice. Lovely decor and very pleasant staff. Highly recommended. More...

The most perfect wedding day, everybody was so helpful, the staff were lovely and the events co-ordinators Jel & Carlotta I cannot thank enough, -you were both amazing.
I would highly recommend Mercure Abbey Hill for events and overnight stays, the Crownhill & Watling suites were fantastic for our big day and the hotel rooms were lovely to stay in for the weekend, the food was so yummy and very reasonable. All in all a great place to stay and to host events.
Thank you to the team at Mercure- you guys are amazing! X

I have stayed in a lot of hotels across the Country and found that this was one of the nicest. I can usually find fault in most hotels but found none here.
My husband and I stayed here for one night so we could see a show at the theatre.
On arrival the first impression of the reception area was very lovely which carried on through out the whole hotel.
Our room was very nice and spacious that looked out onto the golf course. the decor was of a high standard and the bathroom was large with a shower/bath.
We went down in the evening to the bar to get a drink before heading out and it was also very pleasant with a good ambience.
For breakfast there was good piano music playing with a Buffett with lots to choose from. It was also decorated to a high standard.

We had a lovely room with a massive bed, the room had everything we needed.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely had a brilliant new year eve party there food, breakfast and staff was brilliant, just one let down, guest in room 217 thought everyone should listern to there music and shouting at each other, until 4. 30 in the morning, but that's the only bad thing, I couldn't fault the hotel or staff . I don’t eat fish, so they adjusted the sandwiches for me, as it was so hot we were offered unlimited tea, coffee and iced water. Would I go again Definitely YES!!!

Went for the Murder Mystery event. Hotel was superb. Have to say that the event was a little bit pricey at £64 full price £40 Groupon price and did not include any alcohol on the table or even coffee/ tea after the meal. That is something that would have pushed it from a 4 rating to a 5 from me. More...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here at the weekend and had a fantastic time. At check-in we decided it would be worthwhile paying the extra for a privilege room and it was no trouble at all for Tracey on reception to change the reservation accordingly even though the keys and paperwork had already been prepared for the original booking.
She was very polite and courteous. The room itself was spacious, clean and more than adequate. A nice touch was the fridge containing drinks and a snack that were included at no extra cost. Checking out was also efficient and we were worried about the conditions of the road due to the weekend snowfall but Tracey advised that they were clear when she came into work that morning and wished us a safe onward journey home.
It makes a refreshing change to be able to give a positive review as i have had a lot of cause to complain about a few companies and services recently. We will definitely return in future, good service, value, feeling your custom is appreciated and politeness and courteousness really do matter!.
