Good stuff! Super pleasant staff member who knew her stuff, made recommendations. Don't forget the gelato! We had an orange cream and a serving of a peanut butter/Nutella one. Good quality food well priced. Constructive criticism would be to whom I think was the owner/manager, if you are going to linger around in the restaurant at least smile or engage the customers It can make a huge difference in people wanting to support an independent business. Tom, I would like to express our appreciation for your generosity in support of the United Way Oxford. You made the experience a most memorable one. Tom, of Mercasa Banquet Services is someone who I would recommend to any person I meet. Tom and his team exceeded all expectations and were so accommodating -the reviews of the soups were outstanding and warmed the hearts of everyone... we sold out completely and I was already asked if we can bring back Mercasa next year ! Not only was Tom a pleasure to work with, he went above and beyond what was asked. At our location, we have a kitchen, however no stove - Tom had let us borrow induction burners to keep all soups hot and enjoyable. Every step was taken to ensure this event ran smoothly and was successful - all for donation purpose- which speaks volumes of the care and passion Tom and his team puts into everything that they do.

Tom Mercante is absolutely fabulous;he and all his staff made our wedding absolutely phenomenal. It surpassed all our expectations. The food was fantastic, authentic Italian cuisine at it's best. Our guests were raving at how great everything tasted and was presented. Thank you Tom for everything you did to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch. You helped me more then words can say. My mom was also speechless and that's hard to do. Darek and I are so gratful. I would recommend Mercasa Banquet Services to anyone looking to have a night to remember. Again absolutly FABULOUS!!!!!! Mercasa catered our wedding this past Saturday for approx 110 guests here in Hamilton. From the beginning, everything went great. Tom helped us plan our menu to include everything we wanted. We met with him several times to go over everything in detail and sample the menu. He was always available by email which was great. We started our evening with the antipasto buffet which was stunning. We had so many compliments from guests stating it was the best they’ve ever seen with lots of variety of meats, cheeses, breads, etc. The serving staff looked so professional and were welcoming guests with hors d'oeuvres. The goat cheese/ jam/ puff pastry was our favourite! We had our dinner buffet style and had the lasagna, panko chicken, shrimp skewers and vegetables. It was served hot and on time. The staff served the buffet which went quick so all 110 guests had their dinner within 15 minutes. Everything was delicious- the lasagna and chicken were the best I’ve ever had. On tables we had family style salad and bread with garlic butter- a perfect compliment to the buffet dinner. Clearing the tables happened right away and the staff replenished water when needed. Our late night table had a variety of gourmet pizzas and porchetta paninis. The porchetta and buns were fresh and cooked to perfection. His specialty pizzas were everyone’s favourite. This was all beyond our expectations. I would trust Mercasa with any event and will definitely be going to them again in the future. More...
