Well where do I start? The shop is a packed with lots of little treasures. One of them being Toni. What a wonderful lady. I always have a giggle with her .. An outstanding lady In fact.. So helpful and kind.. Always like to see that face behind the counter.. She make my day. It's a great charity. As with all charities. Highly worthy.. As it helps fund awareness of mental health and how to deal with having live with it.
Pop in and feel the love.. Get a bargain while you're your at it.. Win win..

This is a very reasonably priced treasure trove of items including clothing and homewares. I volunteered here for a year as a social media marketer and Admin assistant and it was a stepping stone towards getting back into part time work.

Great place to do some voluntary work in support of people having to live or cope with mental health issues. I know what it's like and have experienced the stress and depression that made me feel life wasn't worth living, experienced the stigma of my mental unwellness and the bullying and harassment in the workplace as a result of my very vulnerable state of mind at the time. I've been there, done it and got several t-shirts along the way. Toni and the MHAT supports me when I feel 'wobbly', respects me as an individual, doesn't judge me, is open and honest with me and makes me feel valued. I don't need to use our struggling NHS services - I have MHAT. I'm retired now but confident that if I needed support to get into employment, this would be the place for me to get that support. Our Director,Toni Hale, has supported 50 people/volunteers into employment so far and I have no doubt that these numbers will keep rising while she is able to keep the shop and bills ticking over! This small local charity is a 'non-profit making' charity in every sense. Donations and the sale of donated goods ALL go into the charity and not into the pay packets of CEO's and staff. Everything is used in someway - recycled, upcycled - whatever bike you can name - it all gets used because we are so lucky to havesuch a talented Toni Hale and her very creative mind to think out of any box! A great cause and such enjoyable events
The shop manages to help so many people with different problems. If it wasnt there so many people would lose out.
