I was a little apprehensive about having a newborn shoot, simply because my new little bundle of joy was at the stage where all he wanted to do was feed (rightly so, just didn't fancy my breast as a backdrop for this beautiful occasion). Absolutely amazeballs. I got top service and was made to feel at home. Then to top it off the pictures were perfect. I Have already done three photo shoots with her starting from my babies gender reveal, a maternity shoot (make up and jewellery professional also part of the package- made me feel beautiful) and then my sons newborn shoot�� (If I could add a few pics I would).
I Honestly don't believe it can get better then this lovely lady.

We used Mellz photography to capture some pictures of our baby girl at 6 months old and I cannot recommend her enough! She went above and beyond from the get go and really kept in mind the type of photos that we wanted.
She organized props and made suggestions of what we could bring to make the photos even better. She even scheduled the photoshoot around my babies routine to make sure that we had the optimum time to get the best pictures.
The day itself was brilliant, we were made to feel comfortable and she showed us pictures of the images throughout so we could get an idea of the images she was getting. We've now received the photos and I am so impressed! Some amazing pictures that have captured some special moments with our baby that will be cherished for so many years to come.
We cannot thank you enough Mellz! We will most definitely be using you again to capture our most special memories xx

I decided for my wife's birthday to organise a surprise cake smash for my daughter's first birthday. After doing some research online Mellz Photography offered the best value for money. However, the whole experience went further than this as Mellz provided a fun, warm and very professional experience. She was brilliant with my little diva of a daughter and mum gladly took the delicious cake home. We did our daughters 6months sitter shoot after we had a taster at a mummy's day out event and loved the final product. Mellz created a personal mood board ahead of the shoot that suited the girly, fun personality of our daughter. She captured amazing family moments of all three of us. As it was Christmas time we also got Christmas photos of our daughters first christmas which turned out beautiful. What I loved most about our session was how great Mellz was with our baby she got so many smiles out of here. After the session we were able to come back for a viewing of all our photos, choose the 3 we got included with the package then choose any extras we wanted to get physical copies of. We got all digital copies of the pictures we chose then got a beautiful 3 book folio and then mounted physical pictures. What do you love most about your job?
What I Love most about my job is it allows my clients to be present and by this I mean it allows my clients to be at the moment. When it comes to capturing events with me being there it allows my clients to enjoy them self and be fully present in the moment celebrating instead of pausing the situation to take a photograph.
With my portrait work, it allows my clients to be present again. I allow the parents to relax and let me engage with the children and then it allows them to be in the photographs too instead of taking the pictures and it is professional too and get physical prints.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I graduated from Kingston university I decided I didn't want to get a job just to pay my bills. I wanted to contribute to everyone's existence by capturing beautiful portraits of families as they grow giving physical prints. I also wanted my to allow people to be present in moments instead of them hiding behind their phones to take the picture. Once these ideas wet through my head I knew I had to start my own business, so on 6th August 2013 Mellz Photography was born.
Maternity/Bump Photography Sessions
Our maternity sessions are to give our mums-to-be their dream maternity session and make them feel amazing as they start a new chapter in their life.
Our sessions include:
•Fully styled session
•Choice of maternity dresses to wear in your session
•Choice of Jewellery supplied by Neicey Jewels
•Makeup artist Belle Vous
•Face to face consultation 2 weeks before your session for
outfit fitting
•Partners & children are allowed no extra charge
•Up to 4 desired looks
•Indoor & Outdoor portraits (Weather permitting)
•Up to 2hour session time
•Private viewing session up to 2 weeks after your session to view a gallery of 20-30 images (I have attached our product guide below)
•(x1)12x8 satin seal high-quality wall print mounted to 14x11
A £50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of your booking and the remaining balance will be due 2 weeks before your session.
Newborn Photography Session
Newborn sessions are so that we can capture your new bundle joy in the first couple weeks of their life, capturing their innocence that you will treasure for years to come. We capture Newborn’s in the first two weeks of their birth, they change and grow so quickly in the couple of weeks
This session can include siblings and you the parents at no extra cost. The package comes with a 3image portfolio, engraved with anything you like and we do around 4 looks in each session.
Sitter's Session (6month old babies)
Oh how our bundles of joys grow so quickly. Our sit up session are for all the 6month old babies that are sitting up and giving us all the giggles that they can give.
In these sessions we will do 3 looks personalised to you and your family capturing the new Milestone your son or daughter are now taking.
This session includes a 6x6 3image portfolio, engraved with your son or daughters name and comes in 26 colours.
Cake Smash Photography Session
YAY! Your son or daughter is about to celebrate their birthday, why don’t you book in for a cake smash session?
Cake Smash sessions are about the celebration of your child reaching another milestone in their life and making it a memorable one.
This session is usually 1 hour (although we can go over depending on the nature of the child)! They take place in our home studio with a theme of your choice.
We supply a 6inch cake, designed and made by Dinah's Desserts, and a standard set of balloons and bunting's; personalised props can be provided at an extra cost. Once your child has smashed away at their cake they will have a bubble bath to wash away all the mess. These photographs are perfect for birthday invitations or even Thank you cards handed to your party quests.
Our cake smash packages each come with an engraved 6x6 photobook with 3 images; the photobook's are available in 26 colours.
Children Photography Session
As our children continue to grow we aim to capture them creating moments for you to treasure forever. Children’s session can be personalised for them, whether it’s a themed session of their current favourite character or photographing them in their favourite outfit at the time. We want it to mean something to you and your family.
These sessions can take place in our home studio; You’re home or even outdoors in their favourite park.
With our Children session packages they come with an 8x6 Mounted Wall Print.
Family Photography
Year after year our families grow, whether it’s just that they are getting taller, there are new additions or simply you haven’t had a professional family portrait taken in a while our family sessions are perfect for you. We aim to personalise every session to each family, whether there is a colour theme or props to express the kind of family you are.
Family sessions can take place in our home studio (up to 4 people), in your home or even your favourite location that you to as a family.
Our family package comes with an 8x6 mounted Wall Print
Engagement Photography
Congratulations to you and your Fiancé on beginning a new chapter of your life. Engagements are just as important to capture, as is your wedding day. We can document the special moment as you down on knee or photograph you already engaged and capture the joy, excitement and love you have for one another.
Your session can be just as simple of capturing you and your Fiancé taking a stroll in the park or going to location that you used to go to as couple, creating a story for you to tell your future family.
Event Photography
We cover a variety of events such as Birthday Parties, Baby Showers, Anniversaries and Engagements. When covering events we aim to capture the story of the event so that, once the day is over, you will be able to re-live the moments over and over again.
They come with a 2image book portfolio engraved with the occasion and a colour of your choice, you have 26 to choose from.
Christening Photography
When we come to document your child’s Christening or Baptism we cover the whole day from the church till reception. Our event photography package comes with a 30x30cm 30-page photo-book telling a story from beginning to end and all photographs come on USB with even more photographs than what is in the book.
Wedding Photography
Congratulations on your Engagement, I know it can be hard in choosing the right photographer for yourselves, so we can do what we can to help.
Our wedding Package include free engagement session, Full day coverage including the Bride and Grooms morning Prep. Our wedding package also includes a 50page lay-flat album and all photographs from your day fully edited on USB that comes in a 2image portfolio. Both the Book and 2image portfolio come in a selection of 26 colours.
