After researching photographers in the area I came across her work online and fell in love with Melissa's work and just knew the hour commute to her studio would be well worth it. You know you have an awesome newborn photographer when you learn baby calming techniques just from watching her work! As a brand new mom, I so enjoyed watching Melissa's shoot and the magic she used to relax and pose my baby boy (who doesn't "relax" very easily. ..). Melissa is the baby whisperer! The studio was perfectly simple and calming. She had the environment perfect down to the last detail. My 6 day old baby didn't flinch once. Melissa was able to put her into (and keep her in) poses that I, her own mother, have never been able to do! The experience was extremely professional and relaxing. Took my 3 month old twins to her and even though we don't have the pictures back yet I already know they will be amazing! My babies weren't super cooperative and had some crying fits and wanted to eat a lot but she was so patient and we didn't feel rushed at all . Taking a newborn baby anywhere for the first time especially as new parents is very nerve racking! Upon entering Melisa’s studio all the fear was put to ease. The studio was very warm and inviting. A delicate lull played in the background and it is truly a baby haven. Melisa is wildly gifted when it comes to handling children! I was astounded as to how easy she made the whole photo shoot process! She changed our little girl in and out of outfits, wraps, and headbands like it was nothing! Seeing the final photos was well worth the wait! We will forever treasure these pictures and our experience! Definitely highly recommend and hope to use her again as our baby girl grows! More...
