We recently had a newborn and sibling photo shoot and couldn't be more pleased. Mel was really friendly and professional. The way she kept our newborn so calm and content was impressive ! We went to Mel for a newborn shoot following a recommendation from a friend and we are so glad we chose her. We turned up half an hour late and in a flap and she instantly put us at ease and told us to relax whilst she got to work. My partner relaxed so much he actually fell asleep on the lovely comfy sofa in the studio!!! Unfortunately our 2 week old was less keen to go with the flow but Mel was incredibly patient and her perseverance (endless rocking and cuddling) finally paid off! She has a real talent and created some wonderful photos with a range of props, textures and backgrounds. There's no better way for a business than to run through recommendations and Melanie Barnfield is exactly that. 5 years ago I was recommended to her by a friend and after choosing her as my wedding photographer, 3 more of my friends went on to pick her for their big day too. The photos she is able to capture are naturally stunning which is what I was after and I think she achieves this through her lovely personality which makes you relaxed on the day and therefore yourself on pictures! I could not recommend Melanie highly enough. We had a newborn photoshoot when our daughter was born, Melanie captured the most beautiful pictures and worked with the ideas that we wanted to try, creating the most special and amazing pictures we have of our little girl.
