The food is really amazing here and the owners give great customer service. I'm from a much larger city and miss good Indian food this definitely hits the spot.

Awesome taste and ambiance. Authentic Bangladeshi flavor and taste.
Amazing food, very friendly staff. One of the best and highest quality I've had the pleasure of tasting. This place makes food that they themselves would eat, and it is simply amazing. I would highly recommend this place, and I definitely will be back here often! Do take note that this is a Bangladesh cuisine, not Indian. They are very similar, but you can expect less sauce than what you'd expect at a Indian restaurant. More...
Wow. The food is wow.
So good! The meal was delicious! Very good ingredients, and good portion size. A little spicy for me, but I will be more careful in ordering next time. Still, amazing quality and taste!
The service here is first class. The food selection offers something for everyone. They also have vegetarian options. Price is well worth the amount of food you get and if you have any questions all you need to do is ask. Some dushes are a little spicy so ask if you need a more mild choice and you'll be well taken care of. More...
DELICIOUS food at a great price. New favorite spot

I just tried this place today and I am in love with their food quality! I ordered chicken tikka masala with mango lassi for a drink and it was delicious! Definitely recommend and will come back again. More...
Excellent food--especially the paneer and samosas. The whole family loves this place, and it's great to sit outside in the summer and enjoy the weather and the company.
The food here is delicious, I definitely recommend trying the butter chicken and curry chicken. The staff are very friendly and the environment is nice, great place for a nice meal.

Authentic Bangladeshi food with excellent taste.
Amazing food & wonderful service!
Yummy cuisine and wonderful hostess! I love that she recommended somethings with a variety of tastes!
The owners are the sweetest people! And that's just the beginning. I had the palak paneer, gulab jamun, and had a taste of a friend's chicken Tikka masala. Every bite was life changing.
Wonderful experience. The owners were welcoming and friendly. The food superb! We had lamb curry and chicken curry. If you want extra spicy ask for the green sauce-awesome
I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken tikka masala! It was full of authentic flavors that were not masked by too much butter or too much heat (spice). And the owners are absolutely lovely! More...
The food was absolutely delicious! The chicken tikka masala I had was incredibly rich and buttery without being to heavy, and the golab jamun was not too sweet, which I really appreciated.
A small, out of the way spot in Moscow. One of several restaurants enclosing a courtyard with plenty of seating and a more secure play-place for the littles. Seating is also available inside. It didn't look like it at first, but when you go inside to order there is a bar and a table and chairs. It was rainy when we went so this was a deal-breaker if there was no indoor seating. The food is made by an actual Indian woman from family recipes. I had the Paneer with spinach and was told that it is prepared differently than other places. It was delicious even though it didn't look very appetizing. I have not eaten it before so I wasn't sure what to expect. The sauce has pureed spinach, so no stringy wilted leaves, and large cubes of cheese. You can get it with rice or peas instead of the spinach, as well as naan, which I did. A small salad makes the meal. I also tried the Mango Lassi which was very good; can't go wrong there. My husband got the chicken curry and enjoyed it as well. Prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. Portions aren't small or over the top large either. The menu online doesn't have all the available options. When we went there she also had a salmon curry that sounded intriguing. There were other menu items listed as well. Credit/Debit is accepted. Not sure about checks. I would definitely recommend and will go back to try other things there as well. More...
Our family cooks classic Indian food often, and we understand that to achieve that remarkable balance of subtlety yet intensity, much time is necessary. Mela presents one with food that reflects that long cooking time. This Bangladeshi variant of classic Indian cooking is simply superb.A rare find outside of large cities, truly a gem. More...
It is what it is and it does that well. The physical setting is a hole in the wall BUT they'll bring your food over to Slice, so you can drink one of their 24 taps (100+ cans), wine, or coffee. And in good weather it's a happening square with kids running everywhere. The menu is limited but the food is tasty. It's better to do a few things well than a hundred things adequately. So far I've had the curry, biryani, and samosas, and the flavor is the reason for the long lines at the Farmer's Market. I've been to many dozens of Indian and Desi restaurants around the US. There's something about Bangla cooking to differentiate it from Indian; I couldn't describe it but Mela has it, and it's a welcome difference versus generic Americanized Indian fare. It's also wonderful to enjoy a bit of spiciness without having to beg for it. We are blessed to have two south Asian establishments in town now. For formal guests I need to impress with ambience I'll go to Karma but for myself and friends, a tasty curry with IPAs is unbeatable.5/4/2019 update: got the lamb curry, delivered to the bar at Slice. The lamb was tender and lean, the curry was spicy and delectable, and the rice was infused with cumin and cardamom (or something. Wonderful spices). Mmmmm. More...
The food is excellent, the people are kind and the portion sizes are generous. Great place to eat.
6 out of 5 stars. Gives me memories of my grandmas amazing home cooking. I will always remember to visit this place if I want good comfort food.
A tiny restaurant with big flavor. Delicious food and excellent service make this restaurant shine. I'm especially fond of the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. I definitely recommend Mela when you have an Indian food craving. More...
Beautiful, exquisite, hand-crafted food from a local artisan chef. Inspired by country, culture, and careful culinary blends, Mela serves up dishes that are balanced nutritionally and aesthetically. You eat. You leave full, but not heavy. You come back for more, or you try something different next time. And you gain a friend every time you speak with the staff! More...
We have always had wonderful, flavorful food. So glad you're in Moscow.
My wife and I have been coming to Mela regularly since it opened. It's great to have a restaurant in town that serves terrific, authentic, South Asian cuisine. The curries have a depth of flavors that can only come with proper slow cooking and adept use of spices. A lot of love is put into the food and it shows. Oh, and the owners treat you like family. Best authentic cuisine around! Excellent service
Mela is a mom and pop, hole in the wall place in the best way possible! The food is delicious and the owners are kind and inviting.
I have loved Mela since they opened at the Farmers Market - their garbanzo curry was the only thing I wanted to eat when I was pregnant with my second child! And when we were pregnant again and very sick Abtesam blessed us with food!!! They are such a kind family - and her sons always made me laugh - and you can tell that cooking food for people is her calling. I am so grateful we can now have the beautiful flavors of Bangladesh outside of market season. Tonight our family of five feasted on the garbanzo curry, the lamb curry (amazing), and the paneer curry plus lentil soup (she added that in for us, because she just cannot quit being generous) and an order of piyaju (pakora). The sauces are beautiful, balanced, and perfectly spicy (my kids love it, but I know not all kids are accustomed to spice). I crave these flavors! It’s easy to pop in to their 2nd street location (it’s tucked away on the east side of the patio near the play structure) and place an order for take out, though there is also a small area to dine in along a bar with stools. Our large to-go order was ready in less than ten minutes. You could also eat outside on the patio.A meal is perfectly sized for a hearty adult portion (comes with salad and a choice of naan or rice) and easily shared by smaller kids. Everything is made from scratch, and it is like being invited to sit down at the table and feast with their family, that’s the Mela magic. This food is made with love. More...
Food is fresh, homemade, and delicious!! Lots of gluten free options which keeps me going back. They can even make garbanzos taste amazing
The owners are awesome! Brought us our food over at Slice then came back to see how it was. The space is very limited but they make it work. I can't wait to try more! Oh, and the Piyaju was delicious! More...
Finding the entrance was a bit confusing, but was it worth the search! The food was amazing and the customer service was impeccable! I can really tell that the owner loves what she does, and you can taste it in the food! More...

Delicious, so glad they opened a resteraunt
Tender boneless lamb curry. Delicious garbanzo curry too. Spicy without lighting your hair on fire. Fast, friendly service. The owner found out we were from out of town and treated us to extra samosas which were also yummy. Just what moscow needed. More...

Super delicious and the nicest people!
Had the younger boy at the farmers market make me a plate of what he thought would be the best, and I was NOT disappointed!! The green sauce is to die for and perfectly spicy, and one can never go wrong with arugula and cucumber atop some chicken biryani. My heart lies with you, Mela!! Thanks for being something I look forward to every saturday More...

Amazing- super fun family that makes ABSOLUTELY amazing Bangladeshi food! Keep up the great work friends :)
Seriously satisfying and delicious. Their green sauce is terribly addictive though, you'll find yourself craving it ALL the time. Can't recommend them enough!
I'm a big fan!
I constantly look forward to their deliciously spiced meals - chicken tikka masala, samosas with mint chutney, various veggie dishes from which emerge hints of lime or cilantro or cardamom... Thrilled to have found authentic Bangladeshi cuisine in Pullman / Moscow. More...

Loving their dinner pickup program now that it's started back up. Every Wednsday, for $10/serving, we pickup excellent Indian food from their kitchen next to Rants & Raves. Last week was an amazing Paneer and a cabbage dish, this week is a Dahl and a vegetable curry that we're about to enjoy.
Can't wait to see what we get next week. More...

Really good food!
After years of popularity as a Farmer’s market stand and caterer, Mela’s finally given in to popular demand and opened a restaurant. For the last few years, Moscow’s had a thriving restaurant scene with a notable absence of South Asian cuisine. Mela is filling that gap, and doing it wonderfully. Their opening night in mid-August of 2018 packed their courtyard with hungry fans & friends. We enjoyed plates piled with Paneer, Biryani, Naan, Samosas and other favorites. In good weather, their courtyard is one of the most pleasant places in Moscow to enjoy a meal. Now, Mela lets you pair that excellent location with some of the best food in town. More...
Finally a desi place in palouse.
TLDR:Food: 4/5Service: 5/5Venue: 4/5 More of a food court type place than a restaurant. The current chicken was great, veggies are generic. Naan bread was pretty good could be better, don't believe they make their own Naan bread(don't quote me on that). Mango Lassi was not too sweet, that's a plus. Probably the best Indian food around this area, but the selection is lacking. More...
This is a great place to have authentic Bangladeshi food. If you are looking for a different taste, halal food, something new, quick bite, or heavy meal- Mela offers all of these. Great service, friendly people, nice ambiance and obviously amazing delicious food. I am certainly going back and recommend this not only to people from the sub-continent but to everyone. More...
