What do you love most about your job?
Creating images that tell stories -- about events, people, places -- that draw people into the image, to experience the moment, the time. And the adventure of photography is also a draw, sending me to neighboring states and beyond.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The real world of today. My background includes years of daily newspaper, staff photographer, and staff photographer for a lifestyle magazine (Southern Living). Following an economic downturn, I realized the world had opened up, and I learned to wear many hats -- entrepreneur, photojournalist, digital editing, teaching workshops, networking, and much more. It's kind of exciting some days!
