If I could the rating would be -10, bought a horse from her, totally neglected overgrown teeth, shoes looked like they have been done by a cowboy, rotated front legs, all joint in hind legs swollen
She was older and much higher than advertised
She is known to be cruel, withholding water from the horses to
make them more docile. Was told I can return the horse if not suitable did not honour her word ( would not have taken the horse back to this horrible place)
They are a lot of buyers who had to put the horses to sleep they bought off her…
Please stay well clear of this terrible woman More...

A complete scam artist that specialises in unfit for purpose horses. I can not recommend more that you stay away from meadow farm and go somewhere else

Purchased Cleo from the team at meadow stud x really pleased with how this mare is turning out they where very helpful and as honest as they could be about her x paid deposit came back to ride and bought her home she has been a bit timid and feet weren’t the best but all sorted now and coming round x would recommend this yard as honest and straight forward kept in contact asking how she is doing settling in etc I bought a youngster from here many years ago and he has also turned into a brilliant pony. I can’t thank Sam and her team enough for all their time and support during our time finding the right family cob. And he was right, infact he is perfect. We are so very grateful, thank you team Sam.Their yard is so looked after and all Sams horses are absolutely immaculate and clearly loved. Before buying our family cob we done a lot of research into who we were buying from and I’m so pleased that I called Sam and then visited her yard, going with my own gut feeling. Nothing was too much bother, and even when seeing one we liked was told honestly he wasn’t what we were looking for... and that gave us so much confidence that we were buying from someone who genuinely cared about her horses future. We bought our dream horse from Sam, having been on the search for a family horse. They were very helpful, informative about the questions we wanted answered, and provided videos for us. Very clean and tidy yard, all the horses there looked happy and healthy, well looked after.We travelled along way to get to them, and we were welcomed and greeted. We are so pleased with Mathias (now called Brenin), such a beautiful, safe and fun cob. One of the best Section D’s we have come across and we have owned many in the past. My 13 yr old cousin rides him off lead rein in an open field and I trust him implicitly. He hacks out in the heaviest of traffic just like they said. He is everything they described and more. My 78 yrs old grandfather drives him out on busy roads, my auntie who hasn’t ridden in many years is back in the saddle and loves him dearly. The kids love him, he is so gentle and genuine in every way and with stand and have fuss all day long! Without Sam and her team we wouldn’t have found such a superstar of a cob! I cannot thank them enough, everything was dealt with in such an easy, pleasant & professional manner. Highly recommend these guys if you are looking for safe and sensible horses! More...

Sold yet another horse unfit for purpose. Lord Henry who has since been returned to Meadow Stables, but not without the usual abuse and threats from Sammarie. Horse was sold as a hunter. Turned up at new owners with 2 stage vetting (having been told it had had a 5 stage). Owner had horse vetted by their own vet (5 Stage) and he failed with heart problems and hind problems. Arrythmia should have been spotted immediately even on a stage 2. Animal is not fit to be hunted. Whoever Sam brought in to vet the animal needs investigating alongside her for selling horses not fit for purpose...and getting abusive/threatening. I am the very lucky person that now owns Diva - bought from Sam 5 weeks ago - and what can I say apart from she is everything as described and more. Brought a lovely mare, who is everything and more then what Sam and her staff told us. Mare is ridden by our 11yr old and they have now completed some showing and jumping on her new pony. I’d like to thank sam. I bought a beautiful cob gelding from her called Murphy. He is exactly as described. He is so kind. Not fazed by anything. He’s great fun but safe. My 8 year old son handles and rides him. He’s great with kids and dogs. He is beautifully schooled and has an amazing jump! I purchased my first horse from Sam nearly three years ago now. Sassy is exactly as described by Sam and continues to be so. In fact, her temperament is so lovely that I decided to breed from her. She and her foal are doing very well. I have visited Sam's yard on several occasions now, purchasing another two horses from her. Again, both as advertised and both still with me. On each visit her yard was spotless, horses clearly very well looked after with lovely beds, hay/water etc. Nothing was too much trouble for Sam and her staff, my endless questions were answered patiently and informatively and my trying out of several horses on the yard that day was accommodated with professionalism. Sam and her staff did not know what I was looking for before I arrived. I was able to meet horses in their boxes, watch them tacked up (tack up myself if I wished) and lead them out to the school for trial. If I had the money I'd be back to Sam tomorrow to buy Boss! My daughter has her forever pony from meadow stables he is 100% safe and suited to my daughter on Sam’s recommendation we visited a few times until the right pony became available I’m now looking to get myself a horse and wouldn’t go anywhere else as I know as a novice rider Sam will only pick a horse that I will feel comfortable and confident with I’ve recommend meadow stables to a few friends who have also had a excellent service with great staff and horses looked after above and beyond other stables I’ve visited.

I had the pleasure of being tagged in a video of a horse for sale here, I didn’t listen to these reviews I’m one to make a judgment on my own. . to find that Sam. And all her staff are the complete opposite to what people have said, Sam and her staff have been helpful, and straight forward throughout! thank god for meadow stablesMost pleasant people! I personally had a great experience with meadow stables. I was treated professionally throughout, visited more than once and took my own vet with me for a 5 stage vetting. I purchased my horse from Sam in April 2016 and he was just as described. He will be with me for life and I wouldn’t hesitate buying from meadow stables again. The yard was immaculate each time I visited, all horses had big clean beds and plenty of hay and water and the grooms couldn’t of been more helpful! There was no pressure to buy or to leave a deposit and I was able to spend as much time as I wanted with my horse!

I bought Doris back in 2014.. I’d just recently lost my mare of 16 years so she had huge shoes to fill.. I didn’t have her vetted and now 3 years later she’s still the wonderful horse I purchased. She was a little nervous to begin with but you expect a horse to have a settling in period. I would definitely consider buying from Meadow stables again and if you’re uncertain then take an experienced friend/instructor and budget for a vetting with your own vet. I bought my first horse from Meadow Stables in April 2016. I went to Sam’s yard to try several horses I had seen advertised and ones that Sam had recommended as suitable for a novice. When we arrived, we were all welcomed to the yard and shown the yard and the horses that Sam suggested were suited to my ability. I was asked which i would like to try first, horses were tacked up in front of me and led out to the school. Sam was very accommodating as I had brought an experienced friend with me who would also be riding the horses. We tried two but neither were quite what I wanted, just what that was I didn’t then know. Meanwhile my boyfriend had been talking to another horse in a stable nearby, he suggested that I try her. Sassy I had seen advertised but I hadn’t paid any attention as she was advertised as not a novice horse. (I was considering myself novice as I had not ridden in 30 odd years). Sam was more than happy to tack up yet another horse for me to try, and one that she had no idea I would be interested in or get on with. Suffice to say, I found what I was looking for and she was purchased. This, not a novice, mare has looked after me ever since. Some four months later I saw a beautiful lemon and white boy on Sam’s Facebook page. So another trip to her Stables, I stayed the whole day, rode the boy, who was everything Sam said, stayed and bathed/groomed him and generally got to know him, and yes, a second purchased from Sam. A few months later I once again purchased from Sam. All 3 are still with me, all as described and all doing fabulously. All I can say to anyone interested is, go to Sam’s, see for yourself, ask the questions and make your own mind up, take an experienced friend with you and/or get vet checked. I first bought a pony from here, nearly two years ago. Since then, I have bought another pony and two horses.
Immaculate yard, with beautifully kept and turned out horses.
Excellent customer care, to match horse to prospective owner. Excellent trial facilities, including cross country course and a day's hunting if required, with as much time taken as necessary. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. All horses open to full vetting, including blood tests and written warranty.
My horses have all been perfectly as described and I found the service second to none.

I have got nothing but phase for meadow stud, I have brought three lovely horses from them over the years and they have always been as described sound and safe. Sam and her staff are great and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a safe and steady horse. I recently bought my fourth pony from them for a ten year old girl who as never been on a horse, I wanted a lead rein pony that was bomb proof and that exactly what I've got. I'm not a friend or one of her so called minions, I'm a responsible horse owner that as the lady stated all her horses are open to any trial and vetting it's your choice at the end of that that's your decision weather you bye or not and in my opinion meadow stud can't be held responsible for a bad decision on the vendors part .
